The Irish film industry produced over fifty feature films in 2015. This article fully lists all non-pornographic films, including short films, that had a release date in that year and which were at least partly made by the Republic of Ireland. It does not include films first released in previous years that had release dates in 2015. Nor does it include films made by Northern Ireland, which are included in '' List of British films of 2015''. Also included is an overview of the major events in Irish film, including film festivals and awards ceremonies, as well as lists of those films that have been particularly well received, both critically and financially. Vinnie Jones
Vincent Peter Jones (born 5 January 1965) is a British actor, presenter, and former professional footballer. Agata Buzek
Agata Bronisława Buzek (born 20 September 1976) is a Polish actress and model. Agata, the daughter of Polish politician, former Prime Minister of Poland and President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, was born in Pyskowice in Gliwice County, Poland. At an early age she had poliomyelitis and was treated in Germany. After studying at a theatre academy in Warsaw, she went to Paris where she worked as a model. Buzek has won the Polish Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2003 and the Shooting Stars Award at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival. Mateusz Kościukiewicz (; born 1 May 1986 in Nowy Tomyśl) is a Polish film actor. Life and career He grew up in Nowy Tomyśl, where he attended the General and Post-Secondary Schools. He studied at the Kraków State Higher Theater School. In 2010 he received the Karlovy Vary Film Festival Award for the best actor (with Filip Garbacz) for the role in Paweł Sala's film ''Matka Teresa od kotów''. Andrzej Chyra
Andrzej Chyra (born 27 August 1964) is a Polish actor and a member of the Polish Film Academy and the European Film Academy. Life and career He graduated from high school and in 1987 he graduated from the Acting Theater School in Warsaw. In 1994, he majored at the same university in directing. He made his film debut in 1993, with the role of Benvollo in the film ''Order of Affection'', directed by Radosław Piwowarski. Jerzy Skolimowski
Jerzy Skolimowski (, born 5 May 1938) is a Polish film director, screenwriter, dramatist and actor. A graduate of the prestigious National Film School in Łódź, Skolimowski has directed more than twenty films since his 1960 début ''Oko wykol'' (''The Menacing Eye''). In 1967 he was awarded the Golden Bear prize for his film '' Le départ''. Among his other notable films is '' Deep End'' (1970), starring Jane Asher and John Moulder Brown. ''11 Minutes'' () is a 2015 thriller film written and directed by Jerzy Skolimowski. Michael Smiley (born 1963) is a Northern Irish comedian and actor. He is perhaps best known for his roles in the films ''Kill List'' (2011) and ''The Lobster'' (2015). Crime Film
Crime films, in the broadest sense, is a film genre inspired by and analogous to the crime fiction literary genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and its detection.
