List Of Indonesian National Electoral Districts
This is a list of Indonesia's national electoral districts in accordance with Law No. 7 of 2017 and Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No.1/2022, and regions included within them. Members of the People's Representative Council ( id, Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat) are elected from multi-member electoral districts ( id, Daerah Pemilihan''/Dapil''). In total, there are 84 districts across Indonesia's 38 provinces. Individual districts are named after their provinces and, if the province has multiple districts, assigned a roman numeral indicating its number in the province. The upcoming 2024 general election will use the 84 electoral districts where 580 members of the People's Representative Council would be elected. All electoral districts are located entirely within one province and includes regencies and cities within their boundaries, without any regency or city being part of multiple districts. Central Papua
Central Papua, officially the Central Papua Province ( id, Provinsi Papua Tengah) is an Indonesian province located in the central region of Western New Guinea. It was formally established on 11 November 2022 from the former eight western regencies of the province of Papua. It covers an area of 66,130.49 km2 and had an estimated population of about 1,409,000 in mid 2021. It is bordered by the Indonesian provinces of West Papua to the west, the residual Papua to the north, and by Highland Papua and South Papua to the east. Aceh Jaya Regency
Aceh Jaya Regency ( id, Kabupaten Aceh Jaya) is a regency of Aceh Special Region, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency covers an area of 3,814 square kilometres and had a population of 76,782 people at the 2010 census Biro Pusat Statistik, Jakarta, 2011. and 93,159 at the 2020 Census, of whom 47,264 were male and 45,895 female. The official estimate as at mid 2021 was 94,418. The seat of the Regency is Calang, in Krueng Sabee District. Aceh Barat Daya Regency
Southwest Aceh Regency ( id, Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya) is a regency in the Aceh special region of Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency covers an area of 1,882.05 square kilometres and according to the 2010 census had a population of 126,036; this rose to 140,366 at the 2015 Census, and to 150,775 at the 2020 Census. The seat of the regency government is at Blangpidie. Pidie Regency
Pidie Regency (also known as: Pidie, Pědir; "king of"; id, Kabupaten Pidie) is a regency of Aceh Special region, in Indonesia. It is located in the north of the island of Sumatra, in Western Indonesia, bordered by the Malacca Strait and Pidie Jaya Regency (which was formerly a part of Pidie Regency until it was separated out in 2007) in the north, Aceh Besar Regency in the west, Bireuen Regency in the northeast, and Aceh Jaya Regency in the south. Aceh Besar Regency
Great Aceh Regency ( id, Kabupaten Aceh Besar) is a regency of the Indonesian province of Aceh. The regency covers an area of 2,903.49 square kilometres and had a population of 351,418 at the 2010 Census and 405,535 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 409,527. The Regency is located at the northwest tip of Sumatra island and surrounds the provincial capital of Banda Aceh. Aceh Barat Regency
West Aceh Regency ( id, Kabupaten Aceh Barat) is a regency in the Aceh special region of Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency currently covers an area of 2,927.95 square kilometres and had a population of 173,558 at the 2010 Census and 198,736 at the 2020 Census. The official estimate as at mid 2021 was 200,579. The town of Meulaboh remains the seat of the regency government (notwithstanding unsubstantiated reports that on 8 July 2013 it was separated out as an independent city). Aceh Tenggara Regency
Southeast Aceh Regency ( id, Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara) is a regency in the Aceh special region of Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. In 1974, the Southeast Aceh Regency was created by being separated from the Central Aceh Regency; however in 2002 the northern part of this regency was itself split away to form the new Gayo Lues Regency. The regency now covers an area of 4,242.04 square kilometres and had a population of 179,010 at the 2010 census and 220,860 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 224,119. South Aceh Regency ( id, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan) is a regency in the Aceh special region of Indonesia. It is located on the west coast of the island of Sumatra. Aceh Singkil Regency
Aceh Singkil Regency ( id, Kabupaten Aceh Singkil) is a regency in the Aceh province of Indonesia. It is situated largely on the island of Sumatra, but also includes the offshore Banyak Islands, the largest of which is Tuangku (Great Banyak), with the principal town of Alaban. Until 1999 it also included the large offshore island of Simeulue, but in that year the island was split off to create its own separate regency. The seat of the Aceh Singkil Regency government is at the port of Singkil on the Sumatra coast. Simeulue Regency
Simeulue Regency ( id, Kabupaten Simeulue) is a regency in the Aceh special region of Indonesia. It occupies the whole island of Simeulue (Pulau Simeulue), 150 km off the west coast of Sumatra, with an area of . It had a population of 80,674 at the 2010 census and 92,865 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 93,762. With its isolated geographic location and its linguistic difference from mainland Aceh, Simeulue has not been affected by the turmoil of conflicts in mainland Aceh between the Indonesian government and the Free Aceh Movement (GAM).
