Chan Hung-lit (7 June 1943 – 24 November 2009), was a Hong Kong actor famous for portraying villains from the 1960s to 1980s. Background Chan started his acting career after joining Shaw Brothers Studio in 1964. and mainly acted in ''wuxia'' and martial arts films. He rose to fame after portraying the antagonist in the 1966 ''wuxia'' film, ''Come Drink with Me''. Chan later got his first leading role as a protagonist in the 1970 ''wuxia'' film, ''The Winged Tiger''. In 1988, Chan took a hiatus from his acting career and was involved in the garment industry. Pan Lei (film Director)
Pan Lei (潘壘), a Taiwanese film director and writer, was born on August 4, 1927, whose original name was Pan Chengde(), also known as Pan Lei() and his pen name Xinxi(心曦). After joining the army to fight the Japanese at the border of China and India, he came to Taiwan in 1949 and became a well known writer and journal publisher. He began his film career as a scriptwriter and directed his first film in 1959. His third film ''Typhoon'' (颱風; 1962) was outstanding among its contemporary films with its bold presentation of female desire and artistic achievement, which won him the praise of "Father of Taiwanese Art Cinema" (台灣藝術電影之父) and the invitation to make films for the Shaw Brothers. The Fastest Sword
The Fastest Sword (天下第一劍) is a 1968 Shaw Brothers wu xia film directed and written by Pan Lei and starring Liu Ping as the eponymous "Fastest Sword", a possibly unbeatable sword fighter. It is noted for comparisons drawn between it and the Hollywood Western ''The Gunfighter'' although such comparisons are exaggerated, its cinematography which is atypical for Hong Kong fight scenes of the time, and a dramatic final fight scene. Plot Having killed in a duel yet again, "The Fastest Sword of the South" Ding Menghao is challenged to a duel by an 80 year old monk armed with only a long smoking pipe. If Ding wins the monk will be his servant for three years and if the monk wins Ding has to do what the monk says for three years. Lan-Hing Tam () (12 January 1911 – 13 March 1981) was a Chinese actress and Cantonese opera singer from Hong Kong. Tam was credited with over 190 films. Early life In 1908, Tam was born as Tam Shui-fen. Career Tam started her career as a "fa dan" role in Cantonese opera. In 1935, Tam crossed over as an actress in Hong Kong films. Tam first appeared in Scent of Wild Flowers, a 1935 Drama film directed by So Yi. Tam first appeared as a comedian actress in Modern Girl Seeks Husband, a 1939 Comedy film directed by So Yi.
