Luanda

The 2013 Girabola was the 35th season of top-tier football in Angola. The season ran from 26 February to 3 November 2013. Recreativo do Libolo were the defending champions. Domant FC
Domant Futebol Clube de Bula Atumba is an Angolan sports club from the village of Bula Atumba, in the northern province of Bengo. The team currently plays in the Gira Angola and is based in the province's capital city of Caxito. History The club has its origins in the early 1990s in another club called Desportivo da Vidrul which was sponsored by a glass factory called Vidrul. By then, the team was led by Mr. Domingos António, a young man in his 20s who managed to keep the club alive by taking part in several local competitions. Ever since, the team went through various changes until being established on 23 May 2005, as Domant FC. On 6 December 2006, the team took part in the President's Cup (the equivalent in Angola to the 3rd division championship). Académica Petróleos do Lobito, usually known as Académica Lobito, are a football (soccer) club from Lobito, Angola. The club was founded in 1970 as Académica da Chilimba by Mr. Geraldo Guiado and a few associates. In 1981, a sponsoring deal with Angolan state-owned oil company Sonangol resulted in the club's name to be changed to the current designation. They are competing in 2009 in the Girabola. Estrela Clube Primeiro De Maio
Estrela Clube Primeiro de Maio, usually known simply as Primeiro de Maio or 1º de Maio, is a football (soccer) club from Benguela, Angola. The club was the result of a merger from two clubs: Estrela Vermelha de Benguela and Grupo Desportivo 1º de Maio being then named África Têxtil 1º de Maio de Benguela due to its then major sponsor, a Benguela-based textile factory called África Têxtil. Shortly afterwards, the name was changed to its present denomination. In its golden years, in the 1980s, the club has won two Angolan leagues (1983 and 1985), three Angolan cups (1982, 1983 and 2007) and one Angolan supercup (1985). Moreover, Primeiro de Maio became in 1994, the first Angolan club to reach the final of a CAF competition and to win the Angola Cup and the Angola Super Cup. The 2018–19 Girabola was the 41st season of top-tier football in Angola. The season was held from 27 October 2018 to 19 May 2019. The league was contested by 16 teams and the bottom three teams were relegated to the 2020 Provincial stages. In the 13th round match between Saurimo FC and ASA, the home team goal-keeper Anselmo, felt confident enough to leave his goal unguarded and shoot a free kick that had been awarded for his team, 25 minutes into the game. His confidence paid off as he scored the only goal in the home team's 1-0 win, something unheard of in Angolan football.
