''Another Man, Another Chance'' (''Un autre homme, une autre chance'', UK title: ''Another Man, Another Woman'') is a 1977 French western film directed by Claude Lelouch. Plot France in 1870: Napoleon III has just lost the war against Prussia and left the country in poverty. Young Jeanne (Geneviève Bujold) falls in love with photographer Francis (Francis Huster), who soon takes her with him when he emigrates to The United States. Dominique Sanda
Dominique Marie-Françoise Renée Varaigne (born 11 March 1951), professionally known as Dominique Sanda, is a French actress and former fashion model. Life and career Sanda was born in Paris, to Lucienne (née Pichon) and Gérard Varaigne. She appeared in such noted European films of the 1970s as Vittorio de Sica's ''Il Giardino dei Finzi-Contini'', Bernardo Bertolucci's ''The Conformist'' and '' Novecento'', and Liliana Cavani's ''Beyond Good and Evil''. She also appeared in ''The Mackintosh Man'' (with Paul Newman) and '' Steppenwolf'' (with Max von Sydow). Liliana Cavani (born 12 January 1933, Carpi, Italy) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. Robert Castel (21 May 1933 – 5 December 2020) was a French actor. Biography Castel was born in Bab El Oued on 21 May 1933. He was the son of Lili Labassi, a singer-songwriter of Chaabi music. He started his career as a musician, accompanying his father in Franco-Arabic songs. He began his acting career in the troupe of the Centre régional d'art dramatique in Algiers. He played the role of Robert in the play on the people of the Pied-Noir, titled ''La Famille Hernandez''. He began his film career at the age of 24 with ''Les Amants de demain'', directed by Marcel Blistène and ''Un témoin dans la ville'', directed by Édouard Molinaro. Pierre Tornade (21 January 1930 – 7 March 2012) was a French actor. He appeared in more than 120 films and television shows between 1956 and 1998. Biography He was born Pierre Tournadre on 21 January 1930 in Bort-les-Orgues in the department of Corrèze. He began his theatrical career at 25 in ''Elle est folle, Carole'' at the théâtre du Palais-Royal. Darry Cowl (born André Darricau; 27 August 1925 – 14 February 2006) was a French comedian, actor and musician. He won a César Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2004 for his role as a concierge in '' Pas sur la bouche'' (''Not on the lips''), which was his last appearance. He was born in Vittel and came to prominence when he was cast by Sacha Guitry in ''Assassins et voleurs'' (1956) (Assassins and Robbers). Francis Huster (born 8 December 1947) is a French stage, film and television actor, director and scriptwriter. Biography Francis Huster was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine. His father is Charles Huster, commercial director at Lancia, and his Polish Jewish mother is Suzette Cwajbaum—who, during the Nazi era succeeded in persuading the Gestapo commandant in Paris to release her father, who had been arrested. However, her father refused to leave Paris, and was shot dead by the SS in Auschwitz as Soviet troops approached at the end of the war. He has two siblings; his older brother Jean-Pierre is a noted writer, and his younger sister, Muriel, is an actress, photographer and songwriter.
