The Minister of Finance (or simply, Finance Minister) is the head of the Ministry of Finance (Zimbabwe), Ministry of Finance of the Government of Zimbabwe. One of the senior-most offices in the Cabinet of Zimbabwe, the finance minister is responsible for the fiscal policy of the government. As part of this, a key duty of the Finance Minister is to present the annual Budget in Parliament of Zimbabwe, which details the government's plan for taxation (revenue collection) and spending in the coming financial year. Through the Budget, the finance minister also outlines the allocations to different ministries and departments. Occasionally, he is assisted by the Minister of State for Finance and the lower-ranked Deputy Minister of Finance. The Ministry of Finance is a government ministry, responsible for the economy of Zimbabwe. The incumbent Finance Minister is Mthuli Ncube, who succeeded Patrick Chinamasa, while the Deputy Minister is Terence Mukupe. Simba Makoni
Simba is a fictional character and the protagonist of Disney's ''The Lion King'' franchise. Introduced in the 1994 film ''The Lion King'', Walt Disney Animation's 32nd animated feature, the character subsequently appears in '' The Lion King II: Simba's Pride'' (1998) and ''The Lion King 1½'' (2004) as well as the 2019 remake of the original film. Mthuli Ncube
Mthuli Ncube (born 30 November 1964),The journal ''Africa Confidential'' lists his birth date as 30 November 1964 ; although the entry at uses 1963. is the Finance Minister in the Zimbabwe cabinet appointed by president Emmerson Mnangagwa and past chief economist and Vice President of the African Development Bank. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Finance from Cambridge University. Ignatius Chombo
Ignatius Morgen Chiminya Chombo (born 1 August 1952) is a Zimbabwean politician who was Finance Minister of Zimbabwe in 2017. Previously he has served in the Cabinet of Zimbabwe as Minister of Home Affairs from 2015 to 2017, Minister of Local Government, Public Works and Urban Development from 2000 to 2015. Tendai Laxton Biti (born 6 August 1966) is a Zimbabwean politician who served as Finance Minister of Zimbabwe from 2009 to 2013. He is the current Member of Parliament for Harare East Constituency and the second Vice President of Citizens Coalition for Change. Dr. Samuel Creighton Mumbengegwi (23 October 1942 – 14 June 2016) was a Zimbabwean politician who served for a time as Minister of Higher Education and as ZANU-PF Chairperson. He was the brother of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Simba Mumbengegwi. Christopher Tichaona Kuruneri (4 April 1949 – 28 May 2022) was a Zimbabwean businessman, politician, lawyer, farmer and philanthropist. He was a Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Development and member of parliament for Mount Darwin East. Kuruneri was a member of Zanu-PF. Herbert Muchemwa Murerwa (born 31 July 1941) is a Zimbabwean politician. He served as the Finance Minister of Zimbabwe from April 1996 to July 2000, from August 2002 to February 2004, and again from 26 April 2004 to 6 February 2007. He has been Minister of Lands and Land Resettlement since February 2009.
