This is a list of England international footballers who were born outside England. For the purposes of international football the football world governing body, FIFA, considers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to be distinct and individual countries. Players born in countries other than England may qualify for the England team through English parents or grandparents, or through residency in England and subsequent naturalisation as British citizens. The Crown dependencies, which for footballing purposes come under the purview of the Football Association of England, have provided two players to the England football team. Fikayo Tomori
Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola "Fikayo" Tomori (born 19 December 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club AC Milan and the England national team. Born in Canada, he represents England at international level. Early life Tomori was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Nigerian parents. The Ivory Coast national football team ( French: ''Équipe de football de Côte d'Ivoire'', recognized as the Côte d'Ivoire by FIFA) represents Ivory Coast in men's international football. Nicknamed ''the Elephants'', the team is managed by the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF). Dazet Wilfried Armel Zaha (born 10 November 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Crystal Palace and the Ivory Coast national team. Zaha advanced into the Crystal Palace first team from their academy, in 2010. In his first three full seasons at Selhurst Park, he scored 18 goals in all competitions. Alf Quantrill
Alfred Edward Quantrill (22 January 1897 – 19 April 1968) was an English footballer. Born in Rawalpindi, Punjab (India), Punjab, British India where his father was based on military service, he played on either wing and appeared four times for the England national football team, England national team. Quantrill played non-league football for Boston Swifts until being signed by Derby County F.C., Derby County in 1914. Quantrill helped Derby gain promotion to Division One in his first season at the club, but his career was soon interrupted by the World War I, First World War. He served as a member of the Derbyshire Yeomanry, but was sent home after developing malaria in Salonika. William Lindsay (3 August 1847 – 15 February 1923) was an English amateur footballer who, generally playing as a full back, helped the Wanderers win the FA Cup in 1876, 1877 (when he scored the winning goal) and 1878 and made one appearance for England in 1877. He also played cricket for Surrey between 1876 and 1882. Career Early life and education Lindsay was born in Benares, India, the son of Major William Lindsay of the 10th Regiment. His father and most of his family were killed during the Indian Rebellion of 1857 at the Siege of Cawnpore. In 1858 he was admitted to Winchester College as one of three boys orphaned by the Indian Mutiny and remained at the college until 1865. William Kenyon-Slaney
William Slaney Kenyon-Slaney PC (24 August 1847 – 24 April 1908) was an English sportsman, soldier and politician. Biography Kenyon-Slaney was born in Rajkot in Gujarat in British India, the son of Captain William Kenyon of the 2nd Bombay Cavalry and Frances Catherine Slaney, daughter of Robert A. Slaney of Shropshire. Upon the death of Robert Slaney in 1862 the Kenyon family inherited the Slaney family estate of Hatton Grange near Shifnal in Shropshire and the Kenyon family name was changed to Kenyon-Slaney. Kenyon-Slaney was educated at Eton College and briefly at Christ Church, Oxford, where he matriculated in 1865. In November 1867, he left Oxford and received a commission into the 3rd battalion of the Grenadier Guards. Elphinstone Jackson
Elphinstone Jackson (9 October 1868 – December 1945) was an English amateur footballer who made one appearance as a full back for England in 1891. He was one of the founders of the Indian Football Association (IFA). Career Jackson was born in Calcutta, India, the son of a leading judge. He was educated at Lancing College where he was captain of the college team in 1887. He then attended Oriel College, Oxford earning his blue in 1890 and 1891. Whilst at Oxford, he joined the Corinthian amateur club, making his debut on 22 December 1888. He played intermittently over the next few years and his final appearance came on 21 March 1891 against a Scotland eleven. Alfred Goodwyn
Alfred George Goodwyn (13 March 1850 – 14 March 1874) was an English Royal Engineer, who represented his regiment at football. He was a member of the Regiment's team that was defeated in the very first FA Cup final. He also represented England in the second international football match against Scotland in 1873. Career Goodwyn was born at Roorhir, Bengal, in British India (now Ruhea, Bangladesh). In 1869, he entered the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich. In August 1871, he was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Royal Engineers. Fellow graduates on the same day were two of his fellow FA Cup finalists, Edmond Cotter and Herbert Muirhead, as well as Richard Ruck, who played in the 1875 FA Cup Final.
