2018–19 Eredivisie
The 2018–19 Eredivisie was the 63rd season of the Eredivisie since its establishment in 1955. The season began on 10 August 2018 and concluded on 15 May 2019; the Europa League and relegation play-offs will take place later that month. PSV were the defending champions. Emmen, De Graafschap and Fortuna Sittard joined as the promoted clubs from the 2017–18 Eerste Divisie. They replaced Sparta Rotterdam, Twente and Roda JC who were relegated to the 2018–19 Eerste Divisie. Teams A total of 18 teams took part in the league: The best fifteen teams from the 2017–18 season, two promotion/relegation playoff winners ( FC Emmen and De Graafschap) and the 2017–18 Eerste Divisie runners-up (Fortuna Sittard). Zakaria Labyad
Zakaria Labyad ( Riffian-Berber: ⵣⴰⵎⴰⵔⵉⵢⴰ ⵍⴱⵢⴰⴷ; born 9 March 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. Born in the Netherlands, he represented that nation at under-17 level before switching his allegiance to Morocco and playing for them at under-23 level. Club career PSV Born in Utrecht, Labyad came through the youth program of PSV. In January 2009, he extended his contract with PSV until the summer of 2012. Before joining PSV, Labyad played for USV Elinkwijk. Labyad made his debut in the senior team on 25 February 2010 in a UEFA Europa League home match against Hamburger SV, coming on as a substitute for Otman Bakkal in the 71st minute. Justin Kluivert
Justin Dean Kluivert (born 5 May 1999) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a winger for La Liga club Valencia, on loan from Serie A club Roma. He also represents the Netherlands national team. The son of former Dutch international football player Patrick Kluivert, and grandson of former Surinamese football player Kenneth Kluivert, Justin Kluivert began his career at Ajax, coming through the youth system. After playing for two seasons with the Dutch side, in 2018 Kluivert moved to Italian side Roma for €18.75 million. Mitchell Clement Dijks (; born 9 February 1993) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a left back for Eredivisie club Vitesse. Career Ajax Born in Purmerend, Dijks was recruited into the youth ranks of then AFC Ajax partner club FC Volendam in 2009. While playing for the Ajax A1 youth squad in 2011–12, Dijks helped his side to win the Nike Eredivisie league title, as well finishing as runners-up to Inter Milan in the NextGen Series (the Champions League equivalent for under-20 teams) after losing on penalties (5–3) following a 1–1 deadlock after extra time. Dijks made his first team debut on 5 August 2012 against PSV in the Johan Cruyff Shield in which he played 76 minutes in before being subbed off for Dico Koppers and he also received a yellow card. Philips Sport Vereniging (; en, Philips Sports Association ), abbreviated as PSV and internationally known as PSV Eindhoven (), is a Dutch sports club from Eindhoven, Netherlands. Nick Viergever (; born 3 August 1989) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a defender for Utrecht. He also made three appearances for the Netherlands national team. Club career Sparta Rotterdam Viergever made his debut in the Eredivisie with Sparta Rotterdam in a 1–1 draw with NEC on 10 May 2009, coming on as a substitute for Edwin van Bueren in the second half. Football Club Groningen () is a Dutch professional association football club based in Groningen, province of Groningen. Founded on 16 June 1971 as the successor of GVAV, the team compete in the Eredivisie, the highest tier of Dutch football. Groningen played their inaugural season in the Eredivisie, before the side were relegated to the Eerste Divisie in 1973–74 as they got into financial difficulties. Zander Mateo Cassierra Cabezas (born 13 April 1997) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg. Career Deportivo Cali Cassierra made his debut for Deportivo Cali in 2015. Amin Younes (born 6 August 1993) is a German professional footballer who plays as a winger for Dutch club Utrecht, on loan from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq, and the Germany national team. Daley Blind (; born 9 March 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder, left-back or centre-back for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the Netherlands national team. He is the son of former Ajax defender and former Netherlands national team manager Danny Blind.
