Piccolo (Dragon Ball)
is a fictional character in the ''Dragon Ball'' media franchise created by Akira Toriyama. He is first seen in chapter #161 "Son Goku Wins!!", published in ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' magazine on February 9, 1988, as the reincarnation of the evil Piccolo Daimaō, who was positioned as a demonic antagonist of the series. However, it is later revealed that he is in fact a member of an extraterrestrial humanoid species called Namekians, those able to create the series' eponymous wish-granting Dragon Balls. He is first introduced as a desert bandit and an antagonist of Son Goku in chapter #7 "Yamcha and Pu'ar", published in ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' magazine on September 11, 1984, alongside his constant companion Pu'ar. Master Roshi, known in Japan as as well as , is a fictional character from the '' Dragon Ball'' series created by Akira Toriyama. Within the series, he is an elderly martial arts master, born on March 20th, who is the innovator of the technique. His students include Grandpa Son Gohan, The Ox-King, Son Goku, Krillin and Yamcha. He is bald, sports a thick van dyke beard, and wears sunglasses, beach clothes, or martial arts suits. He usually wields a walking stick and, in early appearances, wears a turtle's shell on his back. In spite of his lechery, cantankerousness and occasional whimsy or foolishness, he is often depicted as wise and perceptive.
