Prva HNL
The Hrvatska nogometna liga () ( en, Croatian football league), also known as HNL or for sponsorship reasons the SuperSport HNL, is the top Croatian professional football league competition, established in 1992. Previously, it was called Prva Hrvatska nogometna liga (First Croatian Football League), but a league structure reorganization from 2022–23 led to name changes for the three top league levels. Overview The league was formed in 1991, following the dissolution of the Yugoslav First League, and is operated by the Croatian Football Federation. Since its formation, the league went through many changes in its system and number of participating clubs. In the first three seasons two points were awarded for a win, from 1994–95 season this was changed to three points. Legia Warszawa (), commonly referred to as Legia Warsaw or simply Legia, is a professional football club based in Warsaw, Poland. Ivica Vrdoljak
Ivica Vrdoljak (; born 19 September 1983) is a Croatian professional retired footballer. Club career Vrdoljak started playing football at his homeclub, Serbian top league club FK Vojvodina, where he played for the youth teams until 1999, when he moved to Zagreb, Croatia, and settled in the youth system of the Croatian top flight side NK Zagreb. After graduating to the senior team he was sent on loans to NK Lučko and the second division team Croatia Sesvete. Vrdoljak had a good season at Croatia Sesvete, scoring four goals and featuring in 22 league matches, and after that he was returned to NK Zagreb. In three seasons at the club he made 81 league appearances and scored three goals. Ivan Turina (3 October 1980 – 2 May 2013) was a Croatian footballer who played at both professional and international levels as a goalkeeper. Club career Turina started his professional career with his youth club Dinamo Zagreb in 1998. Before settling as a first-team member in 2003, he completed loan spells at Croatia Sesvete, Kamen Ingrad and Osijek. He was Dinamo Zagreb's first-choice goalkeeper during the 2005–06 season, when the club won their first league title in two years. He continued to play regularly in the early stages of the following season. Marin Skender (born 12 August 1979) is a Croatian retired football goalkeeper. Career Advancing through the youth ranks of NK Osijek, Skender went on to start his senior career with amateur side NK Olimpija Osijek in 2000, moving to NK Vukovar '91 the following year. After spending two seasons with Vukovar, he returned to NK Osijek in the summer of 2003 and joined their first team competing in the Croatian First League. He soon found his place as a regular at NK Osijek, appearing in all of their domestic league games for three consecutive seasons between 2005 and 2008, as well as being the club's first-choice goalkeeper for more than five years.
