Cliftonville F
Cliftonville is a coastal area of the town of Margate, situated to the east of the main town, in the Thanet district of Kent, South East England, United Kingdom. It also contains the area known as Palm Bay. The original Palm Bay estate was built in the 1930s as a number of large, wide avenues with detached and semi-detached houses with driveways, garages and gardens. This land was sold by Mr Sidney Simon Van Den Bergh to the Palm Bay Estate Co on 23 June 1924. Such avenues include Gloucester Avenue and Leicester Avenue. East Cliftonville The estate covers the eastern part of Cliftonville and was fields when the first was built. It extends east beyond Northumberland Avenue and has been developed in phases. 2010–11 IFA Premiership
The 2010–11 IFA Premiership (known as the Carling Premiership for sponsorship reasons) was the third season since its establishment after a major overhaul of the league system in Northern Ireland, and the 110th season of Irish league football overall. The season began on 7 August 2010, and concluded on 30 April 2011. Linfield were crowned champions for the second successive season, after a 4–0 win over Lisburn Distillery on 26 April 2011. The 2014–15 NIFL Premiership (known as the Danske Bank Premiership for sponsorship reasons) was the seventh season of Northern Ireland's highest national football league in this format since its inception in 2008, the 114th season of Irish league football overall, and the second season of the league operating as part of the Northern Ireland Football League. The season began on 9 August 2014, and concluded with the final round of fixtures on 25 April 2015. Joe Gormley (footballer)
Joseph Anthony Gormley (born 26 November 1989) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays for Cliftonville in the NIFL Premiership. Gormley played for amateur side Crumlin Star, before making the move to Cliftonville. On 14 June 2015, Gormley made the transition to professional football, signing for Football League One side Peterborough United. After suffering a serious knee injury, Gormley moved on loan to Scottish club St Johnstone in August 2016. After becoming "disillusioned" with professional football, Gormley cancelled his contracts with Peterborough and St Johnstone. After much speculation, it was announced in January 2017 that Gormley would rejoin Cliftonville for the 2017/18 season. Nicknamed "Joe The Goal", Gormley is Cliftonville's all-time record goalscorer. 2014 Setanta Sports Cup
The 2014 Setanta Sports Cup was the ninth and final staging of the annual all-Ireland football competition. It commenced on 24 February 2014 and concluded on 10 May 2014 with the final. Shamrock Rovers were the defending champions, following a comfortable 7–1 win over Drogheda United in the 2013 final. This season's competition was reduced in size from twelve clubs down to eight, with four clubs representing each league. The competition was originally going to feature Linfield, who were inaugural winners of this competition in 2005 and had appeared in all eight editions of the competition to date, and 2012–13 IFA Premiership champions Cliftonville. The 2013–14 NIFL Premiership (known as the Danske Bank Premiership for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth season of Northern Ireland's national football league in this format since its inception in 2008, the 113th season of Irish league football overall, and the first season of the league operating as part of the newly-created Northern Ireland Football League. The season began on 10 August 2013 and concluded on 26 April 2014. Liam Boyce
Liam Boyce (born 8 April 1991) is a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian and the Northern Ireland national team. Boyce began his career at Cliftonville and returned to the club following a short spell at Werder Bremen II. He has since played for Ross County, Burton Albion and joined Heart of Midlothian in January 2020. Boyce has also represented the Northern Ireland national football team. The 2013 Setanta Sports Cup was the eighth staging of the annual all-Ireland football competition. It commenced on 11 February 2013 and ended on 11 May 2013 with the final played at the Tallaght Stadium, Dublin. Crusaders were the defending champions, after they defeated Derry City 5–4 on penalties in the 2012 final, when the match ended 2–2 after extra time. However, this season they went out 4–1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals to Cork City. Shamrock Rovers were the eventual winners for the second time overall, following a comfortable 7–1 win over Drogheda United in the final. The 2012–13 IFA Premiership (known as the Danske Bank Premiership for sponsorship reasons) was the fifth season of Northern Ireland's national football league in this format since its inception in 2008, and the 112th season of Irish league football overall. The season began on 11 August 2012 and ended on 27 April 2013. This was the last season of the league under the control of the Irish Football Association. From the following season onwards, the league became part of the newly created Northern Ireland Football League. Linfield were the defending champions after winning their third consecutive title – their 51st league title overall last season. Chris Scannell
Chris Scannell (born 7 September 1977) is a retired footballer from Northern Ireland who spent his entire career with Cliftonville. Scannell is one of Cliftonville's all-time leading goalscorers having amassed over 100 goals for the club. His brother Ronan also played for the club. Born in Belfast, Scannell made his senior debut for Cliftonville against Ballymena United in September 1998. Despite a serious injury which threatened to ruin his career, and kept him out of first team action for almost 3 years, Scannell is one of the most prolific strikers in the club's history. He scored 153 goals for the club. Scannell re-signed for the club in January 2005, following a year away in Australia for work reasons, and his performances earned him the honour of captain from the 2008/2009 season. 2012 Setanta Sports Cup
The 2012 Setanta Sports Cup was the seventh staging of the annual All Ireland, all-Ireland association football competition. It commenced on 11 February 2012 and ended on 12 May 2012, with the final played at The Oval (Belfast), The Oval, Belfast. The draw for the 2012 competition was made at Aviva Stadium, Dublin, on 25 January 2012. Crusaders F.C., Crusaders won the competition for the first time, defeating Derry City F.C., Derry City 5–4 on penalty shoot out, penalties after the scores were level at 2–2 after extra time.
