This is a list of former Central Coast Mariners W-League players. The team played in the first two seasons of the Australian W-League ( 2008-09 and 2009) and had a number of notable players, coming second in the 2009 W-League Premiership. The team has not played since the 2009 W-League season due to a lack of funding. Central Coast Mariners FC W-League
The Central Coast Mariners FC, also known as the Central Coast Mariners Women, represented the Central Coast Mariners in the Australian Women's National Football League, the W-League for two seasons between 2008 and 2009. In July 2010 it was announced the team would not be entered into the 2010 W-League, due to lack of funding. The club announced an intention to return to the A-League Women competition for the 2022–23 season, which was postponed eventually to 2023–24. History 2008–09 season As one of the 7 established Australian A-League clubs, the Central Coast Mariners Women was announced to coincide with the establishment of the new W-League. Taryn Rockall
Taryn Rockall (born 11 November 1977) is an Australian soccer player. She played for the NSW Sapphires in the Women's National Soccer League (WNSL), Arsenal in the FA Women's Premier League and later for the Central Coast Mariners in the Australian W-League during the 2008–09 season. She won the Julie Dolan Medal twice, in 2001–02 and 2004–05, as best player in the WNSL. Club career During the 1998–99 season, Rockall was a member of the Arsenal team that won the FA Women's League Cup/Women's FA Cup double. Rockall made her debut for Central Coast Mariners in the W-League against Melbourne Victory on Saturday, 25 October 2008 after being substituted on for teammate Teresa Polias. Central Coast Mariners FC (A-League Women) Players
Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It competes in the A-League Men, under licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The Mariners were founded in 2004 and are one of the eight original A-League teams. It is the first professional sports club from the Gosford region to compete in a national competition. Despite being considered one of the smallest-market clubs in the league, the Central Coast Mariners have claimed one A-League Championship from four Grand Final appearances and topped the table to win the A-League Premiership twice. Jillian Ann Loyden (born June 25, 1985) is an American retired soccer goalkeeper who most recently played for Sky Blue FC in the National Women's Soccer League and the United States women's soccer team. She previously played for the Saint Louis Athletica, Chicago Red Stars, and MagicJack in the WPS. She became an assistant coach for Sky Blue FC in 2016. Early life A native of Vineland, New Jersey, Loyden played soccer and basketball at Vineland High School. She was named a first team All-State selection and was chosen as the Player of the Year by The Press of Atlantic City and The Daily Journal. Renee Rollason (born 22 September 1989) is an Australian footballer who last played for Sydney FC in the Australian W-League. Rollason made her W-League debut playing for the Central Coast Mariners against Melbourne Victory on Saturday, 25 October 2008.
