List Of Brussels Metro And Premetro Stations
This list of Brussels metro and ''premetro'' stations includes all the underground stations in the Brussels metro and ''premetro'' network, arranged by line. The ''premetro'' refers to sections of the Brussels tramway network which run underground and at metro frequency. Line 1 Line 1 replaces former Line 1B since 4 April 2009. Line 1 does not service though the stations between Erasme/Erasmus and Jacques Brel, which are now serviced by Line 5. Line 2 Line 2 was expanded in April 2009 in order to connect the stations Delacroix and Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation. In this way the line now forms a loop between starting and ending in the Simonis/Elisabeth station complex, known as Simonis on its upper level and Elisabeth on its lower level. Most of this line (between Yser/IJzer and Brussels-South railway station) runs under the Brussels small ring. Maelbeek/Maalbeek Metro Station
Maelbeek ( French, former Dutch spelling) or Maalbeek (Dutch, ) is a Brussels Metro station in the City of Brussels, Belgium. Its name originates from the Maalbeek stream. The station opened as a ''premetro'' (underground tram) station on 17 December 1969 and became a full metro station on 20 September 1976. Following the reorganisation of the Brussels Metro on 4 April 2009, it is served by lines 1 and 5, which cross Brussels from east to west. Simonis And Elisabeth Stations
Simonis and Elisabeth are two interconnected stations on the Brussels Metro serving line 2 and line 6 on two different levels. Additionally Simonis is a railway station operated by the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB) and a tram stop. Delacroix Metro Station
Delacroix is a Brussels Metro station on lines 2 and 6. It is located in the municipality of Anderlecht, in the western part of Brussels, Belgium. It is an elevated station, running parallel to the /, and forming a bridge-viaduct over the Brussels–Charleroi Canal, with entries and exits leading to and from both banks of the canal. Stockel/Stokkel Metro Station
Stockel ( French, former Dutch spelling) or Stokkel (Dutch) is the eastern terminus of line 1 (formerly line 1B) on the Brussels Metro. The station opened on 31 August 1988 and is located in the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre/Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, in the eastern part of Brussels, Belgium. Kraainem/Crainhem Metro Station
Crainhem (French) or Kraainem (Dutch) is a Brussels Metro station in the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert/Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe, in the eastern part of Brussels, Belgium. Since 4 April 2009, the station has been served by line 1 (previously line 1B). It is located near the intersection of the /, the /, and the /. It has a large park-and-ride lot and is also the terminus for a number of inbound regional bus routes of De Lijn, as well as for the STIB/MIVB bus routes 30 and 31. The station was inaugurated in 1988 with the extension of the eastern branch of line 1B from Alma to Stockel/Stokkel. Roodebeek is a Brussels Metro station on line 1.
