British people or Britons, also known colloquially as Brits, are the citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the British Overseas Territories, and the Crown dependencies.: British nationality law governs modern British citizenship and nationality, which can be acquired, for instance, by descent from British nationals. John Galliano
John Charles Galliano (born 28 November 1960) is a British fashion designer from Gibraltar. He was the creative director of his eponymous label John Galliano and French fashion houses Givenchy and Dior. Since 2014, Galliano has been the creative director of Paris-based fashion house Maison Margiela. Galliano has been named British Designer of the Year four times. In a 2004 poll for the BBC, he was named the fifth most influential person in British culture. Early life and education Galliano was born in Gibraltar to a Gibraltarian father of Italian descent, Juan Galliano, and a Spanish mother, Anita Galliano, and has two sisters. Perry Bamonte
Perry Archangelo Bamonte (born 3 September 1960) is an English musician best known as a member of the rock band The Cure from 1990 to 2005, and again since 2022. Biography Born in London, England, Bamonte became a guitar tech for The Cure in 1984. He joined the band as keyboardist in 1990, replacing Roger O'Donnell who abruptly quit after a tour, and Bamonte played both guitar and keyboards on the band's 1992 album '' Wish''. Following the departure of Porl Thompson in 1993, Bamonte took on additional lead guitar duties, O'Donnell rejoined in 1995 to fill the keyboardist position. Bamonte appeared on the subsequent albums '' Wild Mood Swings'', '' Bloodflowers'', and ''The Cure''. Michelangelo Florio
Michelangelo Florio (1515–1566), born in Florence and died in Soglio, Switzerland, Soglio, was the son of a Francis of Assisi, Franciscan friar, before converting to Protestantism. He was a pastor in both England and Switzerland, and father of the renaissance humanist John Florio. Life Michelangelo Florio was born in Tuscany. The precise city of his birth is unknown, though in his ''Apology'' he describes himself as a Florentine. Francis Yates however argued that his assertion could be simply a boast in order to acquire prestige, by associating his origins with a city of great cultural prestige, It is possible he may have been born in Lucca or Siena. William Shakespeare

James I Of England
James VI and I (James Charles Stuart; 19 June 1566 – 27 March 1625) was King of Scotland as James VI from 24 July 1567 and King of England and Ireland as James I from the union of the Scottish and English crowns on 24 March 1603 until his death in 1625. The kingdoms of Scotland and England were individual sovereign states, with their own parliaments, judiciaries, and laws, though both were ruled by James in personal union. Lexicography is the study of lexicons, and is divided into two separate academic disciplines. It is the art of compiling dictionaries. * Practical lexicography is the art or craft of compiling, writing and editing dictionaries. * Theoretical lexicography is the scholarly study of semantic, orthographic, syntagmatic and paradigmatic features of lexemes of the lexicon (vocabulary) of a language, developing theories of dictionary components and structures linking the data in dictionaries, the needs for information by users in specific types of situations, and how users may best access the data incorporated in printed and electronic dictionaries. John Florio
Giovanni Florio (1552–1625), known as John Florio, was an English linguist, poet, writer, translator, lexicographer, and royal language tutor at the Court of James I. He is recognised as the most important Renaissance humanist in England. Florio contributed 1,149 words to the English language, placing third after Chaucer (with 2,012 words) and Shakespeare (with 1,969 words), in the linguistic analysis conducted by Stanford professor John Willinsky. Florio was the first translator of Montaigne into English, the first translator of Boccaccio into English and he wrote the first comprehensive Italian–English dictionary (surpassing the only previous modest Italian–English dictionary by William Thomas published in 1550). Anthony Panizzi
Sir Antonio Genesio Maria Panizzi (16 September 1797 – 8 April 1879), better known as Anthony Panizzi, was a naturalised British citizen of Italian birth, and an Italian patriot. He was a librarian, becoming the Principal Librarian (i.e. head) of the British Museum from 1856 to 1866. Early life in Italy Panizzi was born at Brescello in the Duchy of Modena and Reggio (now the province of Reggio Emilia), Italy, on 16 September 1797. He studied at the Lyceum of Reggio, then obtained a degree in law from the University of Parma in 1818. He was appointed as Inspector of Public Schools at Brescello. It was during this time that a charge was brought against Panizzi that he was a Carbonaro, that is, a member of a secret society that opposed the political regime of that time. Lucrezia Gaia Millarini (born 18 February 1976) is an English journalist and television presenter currently employed by '' ITV News''. Early life Lucrezia Gaia Millarini was born on 18 February 1976 into a family of Italian descent. Anthony Mascolo
Anthony Mascolo (born 27 April 1957) is a hairdresser and international creative director of TIGI, a hair care product business. He has won the title "British Hairdresser of the Year" three times. In 2016, Mascolo and his wife Pat launched an online magazine dedicated to hair, Infringe.com. Early years Mascolo was born in London, the son of Italian immigrants, Francesco and Maria Mascolo, the youngest of five brothers, four of whom were to become hairdressers. By the time he left school he was a competent and fully qualified hairdresser. His first job was in the family's Toni & Guy salon in South London, where his father and brother Bruno also worked.
