Bradford (Park Avenue) A
Bradford is a city status in the United Kingdom, city and the administrative centre of the City of Bradford district in West Yorkshire, England. The city is in the Pennines' eastern foothills on the banks of the Bradford Beck. Bradford had a population of 349,561 at the 2011 Census for England and Wales, 2011 census; the second-largest population centre in the county after Leeds, which is to the east of the city. It shares West Yorkshire Built-up Area, a continuous built-up area with the towns of Shipley, West Yorkshire, Shipley, Silsden, Bingley and Keighley in the district as well as with the metropolitan county's other districts. Its name is also given to Bradford Beck. It became a West Riding of Yorkshire municipal borough in 1847 and received its city charter in 1897. Joe Baillie
Joe Baillie (26 February 1929 – 23 March 1966) was a Scottish footballer who played as a defender, making over 100 appearances for Celtic before moving to English football. Career Baillie played the majority of his games for Celtic for whom his debut was against Queen of the South. He was best known at Celtic for his partnership at left-half with Celtic legend Bobby Evans which helped the team lift the 1951 Scottish Cup. He had joined the club in 1946 and remained with the ''Bhoys'' for eight years. He made 171 first team appearances for Celtic, scoring one goal. During his time with Celtic, Baillie represented the Scottish League XI three times. In 1954 he moved south to join then-English champions Wolverhampton Wanderers. Kenneth Kershaw Booth (22 November 1934 – 7 November 2015) was an English footballer who played as an inside forward. He played over 100 matches in the Football League for several clubs. Career Booth started his senior career with his hometown club Blackpool and scored in his single League appearance for the side. In 1957 he joined Bradford Park Avenue and went on to play 45 games for the team, scoring fourteen times. Ronnie Bird (footballer)
Ronald Philip Bird (27 December 1941 – 20 March 2005) was an English professional footballer who scored 66 goals from 269 appearances in the Football League in the 1960s and early 1970s. He played more than 100 league matches for each of Bradford Park Avenue and Cardiff City, and also had spells with Bury and Crewe Alexandra. Career Born in Erdington, Birmingham, Bird played football at youth level for England alongside Bobby Moore. He began his club career as an apprentice at his hometown club Birmingham City, turning professional in January 1959 at the age of 18, but found first team chances hard to come by and left to join Bradford Park Avenue, being signed by manager Jimmy Scoular in June 1961. He quickly established himself in the side and helped the club to retain their Division Three status after being promoted the previous year. George Beattie (footballer)
George Beattie (16 June 1925 – 10 March 2012) was a Scottish professional footballer. An inside forward he began his career with Southampton but only played one game in the 1947–48 season. Beattie briefly played for Gloucester City before he joined Newport County in 1950. He went on to make 113 Football League appearances for Newport scoring 26 goals. In 1953 he joined Bradford Park Avenue and in 1955 he joined Tonbridge.
