Ammajan (1999 Film)
''Ammajan'' () is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language crime-drama film directed by Kazi Hayat and written by Monwar Hossain Dipjol. The film was released in 1999 in Bangladesh. It was produced by Monwar Hossain Dipjol. It stars Manna, Shabnam, Moushumi, Amin Khan, Monwar Hossain Dipjol in lead roles. Plot Badshah (Manna) is a teenager whose father is Laal Mia, an electrician. His father suddenly dies in an electric accident. The family faces tremendous scarcity in the absence of only earning member. His mother, whom he calls Ammajaan (Shabnam), seeks pension money for her husband's death in his office. Then she is sent to the house of a top class officer of that office assuring that that officer may donate her some money. In the house, the officer eventually rapes her. Discovering her mother molested, Badshah becomes wrathful and kills that officer by stabbing with a Vojaali (dagger). He and his mother is punished by 14 years imprisonment. Sohel Rana (actor)
Masud Parvez (born 1947; known by his stage name Sohel Rana) is a Bangladeshi film actor, director and producer. At present, he is a presidium member of the Jatiya Party. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film Ojante (1996), the Best Supporting Actor award for Sahoshi Manush Chai (2003) and the Bangladesh National Film Award for Lifetime Achievement 2019. Abu Taher Mohammad Shamsuzzaman ( bn, আবু তাহের মোহাম্মদ শামসুজ্জ়ামান; 10 September 1941 – 20 February 2021), better known as known as ATM Shamsuzzaman, was a Bangladeshi film and television actor, director and screen-playwright. Abdur Razzak (23 January 1942 – 21 August 2017) (known as Razzak) was a Bangladeshi actor and film director. He was dubbed Nayak Raj Razzak (King of Heroes), a term introduced by Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury, editor of the magazine ''Chitrali''. Razzak won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor five times for his roles in the films '' Ki Je Kori'' (1976), ''Ashikkhito'' (1978), ''Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo'' (1982), ''Chandranath'' (1984) and ''Jogajog'' (1988). Farida Akhtar Poppy, known by her stage name Babita, is a Bangladeshi film actress. She is a popular actress in Bangladeshi films of the 1970s. She is best known for her performance in Satyajit Ray's '' Distant Thunder'', a novel adaptation about the Bengal famine of 1943, which won the Golden Bear prize at the 23rd Berlin International Film Festival in 1973. Gazi Mazharul Anwar (22 February 1943 – 4 September 2022) was a Bangladeshi film director, producer, lyricist, screenwriter and music director. He earned the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Lyricist a record six times for the films ''Tit for Tat (1992)'', ''Ajante (1996)'', ''Churiwala (2001)'', ''Lal Dariya (2002)'', ''Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2003)'' and '' Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe (2016)''. Montazur Rahman Akbar is a Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter, producer, social activist and entrepreneur. He is known for his work in the Bengali-language film industry, which is centered in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Akbar also fought in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. After directing multiple plays, Akbar worked as an assistant director on the films '' Chhutir Ghonta'' and '' Janata Express'' under directors Matin Rahman and Azizur Rahman, respectively.
