Ricardo Wullicher (born 21 May 1948) is a film director from Argentina. He is best known for his 1976 thriller ''La casa de las sombras (House of shadows)''. Wullicher was born in Buenos Aires. His 1972 movie ''Quebracho'' tells the story of "La Forestal," an English company extracting Quebracho trees between 1900 and 1963 in the northern province of Santa Fe. The wood and its main product, tannin, were highly coveted between 1918 and 1945 and became a focal point of political and social struggles connected with the evolution of trade unionism, as well as the emergence of the Radical Civic Union and Peronism. It is considered an iconic film of its period, if now somewhat dated. Mario David (1 May 1930 in Adolfo Gonzales Chaves, Buenos Aires Province - 13 April 2001 in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine film director and screenwriter. He directed and wrote 12 films between 1971 and 1996. His debut drama '' El Ayudante'', about a truck driver (Pepe Soriano) who befriends a young, deaf male assistant, was based on the book ''El sordomudo'' by the author Bernardo Kordon. Upon release 25 March 1971 in Buenos Aires, it was both a box office success and critically acclaimed, with the critic from the newspaper '' La Razón'' writing: "Kordon's story gains expressive vigor in the images and verisimilitude in its characters and forms a captivating poetic climate and a lucid realistic testimony". Enrique Carreras (6 January 1925 – 29 August 1995) was a Peruvian-born Argentine film director, screenwriter and film producer, and was one of the most prolific film directors in the history of the Cinema of Argentina. Born in Lima, Peru, Carreras directed nearly 100 films in his 40-year career between 1951 and 1991. His 1964 film ''The Escaped'' was seen at the 14th Berlin International Film Festival. His 1977 film '' Crazy Women'' was entered into the 10th Moscow International Film Festival. He died in Buenos Aires in 1995.
