London Borough Of Richmond Upon Thames
The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames () in southwest London forms part of Outer London and is the only London borough on both sides of the River Thames. It was created in 1965 when three smaller council areas amalgamated under the London Government Act 1963. It is governed by Richmond upon Thames London Borough Council and is divided into nineteen wards. The population is 198,019 and the major settlements are Barnes, East Sheen, Mortlake, Richmond, Twickenham, Teddington and Hampton. The borough is home to Richmond Park, the largest park in London, along with the National Physical Laboratory and The National Archives. The attractions of Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Palace, Twickenham Stadium and the WWT London Wetlands Centre are within its boundaries and draw domestic and international tourism. Teddington School
Teddington is a suburb in south-west London in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. In 2021, Teddington was named as the best place to live in London by ''The Sunday Times''. Historically in Middlesex, Teddington is situated on a long meander of the Thames between Hampton Wick and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. Mostly residential, it stretches from the river to Bushy Park with a long high street of shops, restaurants and pubs. There is a suspension bridge over the lowest non-tidal lock on the Thames, Teddington Lock. At Teddington's centre is a mid-rise urban development, containing offices and apartments. Economy Teddington is bisected by an almost continuous road of shops, offices and other facilities running from the river to Bushy Park. St Paul's Juniors
St Paul's Juniors (formerly Colet Court) is an independent preparatory school for boys aged 7 to 13 in Barnes, London. It forms the preparatory department of St Paul's School, to which most Juniors pupils progress at the age of 13. The School was founded in 1881, named Colet Court in 1892, and renamed St Paul's Juniors from 1 September 2016. History The School was founded in 1881 (as "Bewsher's") by Samuel Bewsher, an Assistant Master of St Paul's School and secretary to the High Master. Newland House School is an independent co-educational preparatory school located in Twickenham, London, England. The Mall School is an independent preparatory school for boys, in Twickenham, London. The school accommodates pupils in Reception at the age of 4, before leaving for senior schools at the age of 11. Kew College Prep is a non-denominational mixed preparatory school in Kew in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Despite its name, Kew College Prep is a primary school for children aged 3 to 11. History Kew College Prep began in 1927 as a small school located in a room above a shop in Kew. As the number of pupils grew, the school moved to a large Victorian house in Cumberland Road. In 1953 the school expanded into a second house in Cumberland Road. It became a charitable trust in 1985. Richmond upon Thames College is a large college of further and higher education located on a single site in Twickenham. It provides education and training to 16- to 18-year-olds and adults from across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and further afield. It was established in 2017 by a merger between Richmond Adult Community College and the specialist Hillcroft College. Waldegrave School is a state secondary school with academy status in Twickenham, London, England. It takes girls between the ages of 11 and 16 and has a coeducational sixth form, opened in September 2014. There are four houses and each house is named after prominent women: (Mary) Seacole, (Emmeline) Pankhurst, (George) Eliot and (Rosalind) Franklin. Whitton is an area in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England. Historically, the boundaries of Whitton were the north-western part of Twickenham manor, bounded internally by the sections of the River Crane and the Duke of Northumberland's River.
