History The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) was founded on 26 May 1990 in Sarajevo, as a "party of Muslim cultural-historic circle". It was a realisation of Alija Izetbegović's idea of an Islamic religious and national party in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serb Democratic Party ( sr, Српска демократска странка/Srpska demokratska stranka or СДС/SDS) is a Serb political party in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its current acting president is Milan Miličević. In the parliamentary elections of October 2006, the SDS lost its status as the leading party in Republika Srpska and the main Serb party in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), led by the president of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik. Despite making minor gains in the 2010 and 2014 elections, by 2018 the party had fallen to below 20% of the parliament, the lowest seat standing in its history. The party is under sanctions from the United States for "failing to arrest and turn over war crimes suspects to an international tribunal." Momčilo Krajišnik (; 20 January 1945 – 15 September 2020) was a Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnian Serb political leader, who along with Radovan Karadžić co-founded the Bosnian Serb nationalist Serb Democratic Party (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Serb Democratic Party (SDS). Between 1990 and 1992, he was speaker of the National Assembly (Republika Srpska), People's Assembly of Republika Srpska. Between June and December 1992, Krajišnik also served as a member of the expanded Presidency of Republika Srpska.
