The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a professional basketball league in North America. The league is composed of 30 teams (29 in the United States and 1 in Canada) and is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. Koby Altman
Koby Altman (born September 16, 1982) is the President of Basketball Operations of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life Altman was raised in Brooklyn, New York. Altman received his bachelor's degree at Middlebury College as a Posse Foundation Scholar, where he was a three-year starter at point guard for the basketball team. After graduation, he went into real estate investment sales for three years. He then went to the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass), earning a master's degree in sports management. During that time, he was an assistant coach at nearby Amherst College. After his graduation from UMass, Altman continued in college coaching for several years, first as a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois in 2009–10 and then as a full-time assistant at Columbia. Pacific Division (NBA)
The Pacific Division is one of the three divisions in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings. All teams, except the Suns, are based in California. The division was created at the start of the 1970–71 season, when the league expanded from 14 to 17 teams with the addition of the Buffalo Braves, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Portland Trail Blazers. Robert Michael Myers (born March 31, 1975) is a basketball executive who is the president of basketball operations and general manager for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a former sports agent with Wasserman Media Group after interning with agent Arn Tellem. Myers played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins from 1993 to 1997. He was a member of their 1995 NCAA championship team. He served as a radio commentator for UCLA basketball for two seasons until 2002. Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors are an American professional basketball team based in San Francisco. The Warriors compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as a member of the league's Western Conference Pacific Division. Troy Weaver
Troy Weaver (born June 13, 1968) is an American basketball executive. He is the current general manager for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Early life Weaver attended Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. He then attended Prince George's Community College, where he played one season of basketball in 1991. Coaching career Prior to his collegiate coaching career, Weaver co-founded the DC Assault of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) in 1993. He served as the coach of DC Assault from 1993 to 1996, where he amassed an 85–17 record, and helped lead the team to the 1996 AAU Tournament of Champions. The Detroit Pistons are an American professional basketball team based in Detroit. The Northwest Division is one of the three divisions in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams: the Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Utah Jazz. Calvin Lawrence Booth (born May 7, 1976) is an American basketball executive and a former professional basketball player who currently serves as the General Manager for the Denver Nuggets. College career Booth attended Penn State University after starring at Groveport Madison High School in Ohio. As a junior, he was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. As a senior, he was a second team All-Big Ten Conference pick. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at Penn State in 1998. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are an American professional basketball team based in Denver. The Nuggets compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Western Conference Northwest Division.
