This is a list of NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament bids by school, as of the start of the 2024 tournament. As of 2024, there are a total of 64 bids possible (23 automatic qualifiers, 41 at-large). Division II members * Teams in bold will compete in the 2024 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament. * Appearances include those made by schools in the NCAA College Division Men's Basketball Tournament, the direct predecessor to the current Division II and Division III tournaments. The NCAA did not adopt its current three-division alignment until the 1973–74 school year, when the College Division was split into Divisions II and III. * School names reflect those in current use by their respective athletic programs, not necessarily those used when a school made an appearance in the Division II tournament. The 2019 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament is the 63rd annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball in the United States. Featuring sixty-four teams, it began on March 16, and concluded with the championship game on March 30. The eight regional winners met in the Elite Eight for the quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship rounds. The Elite Eight was held at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. The tournament concluded with Northwest Missouri State winning its 2nd national title completing a 38-0 season. The 2007 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament was the 51st annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball in the United States. Officially culminating the 2006–07 NCAA Division II men's basketball season, the tournament featured sixty-four teams from around the country. The Elite Eight, national semifinals, and championship were again played at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. The 2023 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament was the single-elimination tournament to determine the annual national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball in the United States. The championship rounds were held from March 21–25, 2023 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Nova Southeastern won their first ever national championship, beating West Liberty 111–101 in the championship game. Virginia Union Panthers Men's Basketball
The Virginia Union Panthers are the athletic teams that represent Virginia Union University, located in Richmond, Virginia, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Panthers compete as members of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association for all 13 varsity sports. Virginia Union has been a member of the conference since 1912. Varsity teams History Virginia Union plays basketball and volleyball in the Barco-Stevens Hall, built as the Belgian Building for the 1939 New York World's Fair. The building, which has stone reliefs depicting the Belgian Congo, was one of thirteen facilities designated as "unique" by ''NCAA News'' in 2005.
