Shannon Miller (ice Hockey)
Shannon Miller (born November 17, 1963) served as the head coach of the Minnesota–Duluth Bulldogs women's ice hockey team from 1999 to 2015. In addition, she was the head coach of the Canadian national women's hockey team which claimed gold at the 1997 IIHF World Women's Championships, along with the silver medal in ice hockey at the 1998 Winter Olympics. The Providence Friars women's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the Providence College. The Friars are a member of Hockey East. They play at the 3,030-seat Schneider Arena in Providence, Rhode Island. The UConn Huskies women's ice hockey program represents the University of Connecticut. The Huskies compete in the Hockey East (HEA) conference of the NCAA Division I. History The UConn Huskies women's ice hockey team began in 2000, under head coach Heather Linstad. In its first season, the team played as an independent team. In the 2001–02 season, the team joined the ECAC Hockey women's conference. The points of the compass are a set of horizontal, radially arrayed compass directions (or azimuths) used in navigation and cartography. Heather Linstad
Heather Linstad (born February 26, 1963) is an American ice hockey coach, best known for coaching the UConn Huskies women's ice hockey program during 2000 to 2013 and the Connecticut Whale of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) during the 2015–16 and 2016–17 seasons. Coaching career Prior to beginning her coaching career, she was a college ice hockey player for the Providence Friars women's ice hockey team and was honored as the ECAC Player of the Year in 1989. She was then head coach for eight seasons at Northeastern Huskies from 1992 to 2000, winning the ECAC coach of the year 1994. In 2000, Linstad became the women's ice hockey coach at the University of Connecticut, coaching the Connecticut Huskies for thirteen seasons. Doug Derraugh
Doug Derraugh (born September 28, 1968) is the head coach of the women's ice hockey team at Cornell University where he has a record of 267-150-42 through the 2018-2019 season after 14 seasons as coach. He is the most successful coach in the history of the program. He was the AHCA Coach of the Year in 2010, 2019 and 2020. Playing career Derraugh played for four seasons at Cornell from 1987-88 through 1990-91. He served as co-captain in his senior year when he led his team in scoring with 30 goals and 36 assists, earning him All-Ivy Second Team honors, and helped the team earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Laura Halldorson (born January 12, 1963) is an American retired women's college ice hockey player and head coach. She was the first head coach of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers Women's Hockey team, leading the new team to national prominence in her ten seasons. Her Minnesota record was 278–67–22, a winning percentage of .787. The Boston University Terriers women's ice hockey represent Boston University. The Terriers play in the Hockey East conference. From 2010 to 2015, the Terriers won five Hockey East Championships and made six consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.
