She is best known for her performance of ''Praan'', a song adapted from the collection of poems ''Gitanjali'' by Rabindranath Tagore, with music composed by Garry Schyman for Matt Harding's "Dancing 2008" video. Early life and career Siddique was born in Bangladesh. She moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her family at age 10. Rahsaan Nur Islam ( , ; born 24 September 1986) is an American actor, director, and writer known for his work in the Bengali film industry. Anik Khan is a Bangladeshi-American hip hop artist. Early life Khan was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and raised in Astoria, Queens, New York. His father was involved in politics and fought in the Bangladesh Liberation War. In 1993, when Khan was four, his father moved their family to the United States. Khan moved to Leesburg, Virginia with his family in his early in high school and began spending his time making beats on FL Studio. Khan described going through an identity crisis during this time, saying "I kinda didn't know who I was, I was like away from my culture". Abdul Kareem Fakir (born December 26, 1935), professionally known as Duke Fakir, is an American singer. He is a founding member of the Motown quartet the Four Tops, from 1953 to the present day. A first tenor, Fakir is the group's lone surviving original member, performing today with Ronnie McNeir, Lawrence "Roquel" Payton Jr. (son of original member Lawrence Payton), and Alexander Morris. Naeem Mohaiemen (born 1969) uses film, photography, installation, and essays to research South Asia's postcolonial markers (the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947â1948 and the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971). His projects on the 1970s revolutionary left explores the role of misrecognition within global solidarity. He is a member of the Institute of Contemporary Arts Independent Film Council. Jalal Alamgir
Jalal Alamgir (17 January 1971 â 3 December 2011), was a Bangladeshi-American academic and an associate professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts-Boston and the son of Awami League Member of Parliament Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir.
