Huseyn Seyidzadeh
Huseyn Ali oghlu Seyidzadeh ( az, Hüseyn Seyidzadə) (10 October 1910, Erivan – 2 June 1979, Baku) was an Azerbaijani film director. Life and career Huseyn Seyidzadeh was born to a family of a merchant in the city of Yerevan (then part of the Russian Empire, now the capital of Armenia). He fled the city with his family in 1918 and settled first in Tiflis, and then in Baku. In 1936 Seyidzadeh graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow having been taught by prominent Soviet film directors such as Sergei Eisenstein, Mikhail Romm and Lev Kulidzhanov. He later worked at Lenfilm. Seyidzadeh directed his first film in 1943, with Leyla Badirbeyli in the leading role. Rza Tahmasib
Rza Abbasgulu oglu Tahmasib ( az, Rza Təhmasib; 20 April 1894, Nakhchivan City – 14 February 1980, Baku) was an Azerbaijani film director and actor. He also worked as a professor of theatre, and translator of play scripts from Russian into Azeri. Early life Tahmasib was born as Rza Tahmasibbeyov to a wealthy merchant family, he was born on 20 April 1894 in Nakhchivan City, Russian Empire. He received his primary education at Maktab-i Tarbiyya school in Nakhchivan, where he learned Russian, Persian and Arabic languages. He continued his education at a three-year Russian school in his hometown. His interest to theatre was invoked by actor Huseyn Arablinski who was touring Nakhchivan with his troupe in 1907. In 1910 he left for Tiflis where he studied at a School of Commerce and joined an amateur actors' club at Shaitan Bazaar.

Abbas Mirza Mirza Abdulrasul oghlu Sharifzadeh ( az, Abbas Mirzə Mirzə Əbdülrəsul oğlu Şərifzadə) (22 March 1893, Shamakhi – 16 November 1938, Baku) was a Soviet Azerbaijan actor of opera, theatre, and silent film; a film director; and a film editor. He was awarded the title Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1935). Early life and theatre career Abbas Mirza Sharifzadeh was born into a family of a teacher, who taught at Seyid Azim Shirvani's ''Usul-i Jadid'' school. After the 1902 Shamakhi earthquake, the family moved to Baku, where Sharifzadeh became a member of a drama club at his school. In 1908, he started acting in serious plays, including '' The Imaginary Invalid''. He was part of the theatre troop of the Gadzhibekov family (which included Uzeyir Hajibeyov). Latif Safarov
Latif Bashir oglu Safarov ( az, Lətif Səfərov) (30 September 1920, Shusha – 9 December 1963, Baku) was an Azerbaijani actor and movie director. Safarov began his career in acting at a very young age. He starred in a number of children's movies released in 1927–1931 (''Sevil'', ''Latif'', etc.). In 1939, he graduated from the Ganja School of Pedagogy. For the next two years was continued acting along as serving as an assistant director at the Baku Movie Studio (renamed to ''Azerbaijanfilm'' in 1960). In 1950, he graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography, receiving B.A. in Film Directing. The 1955 film '' Bakhtiyar'' (starring Rashid Behbudov) directed by Safarov was his most significant project.
