Lisa Eglington
Lisa Eglington (née Pamenter, born 23 February 1984) is a former field hockey player from Australia, who played as a forward. Personal life Lisa Eglington was born and raised in Maryborough, Queensland. She is married to fellow former Australian representative, Nathan Eglington. The pair live in Tweed Heads with their two children. Career Domestic hockey In Hockey Australia's former premier domestic competition, the Australian Hockey League (AHL), Eglington represented both Queensland and Western Australia during her career. In 2003, she debuted for the QLD Scorchers and represented the team until 2006, also winning a national title in 2005 edition. Following a move to Western Australia, Eglington made the switch to the WA Diamonds in 2007. During her five seasons with the Diamonds, Eglington won three national titles; in 2007, 2008 and 2010. 2010 Women's Australian Hockey League
The 2010 Women's Australian Hockey League was the 18th edition of the women's field hockey tournament. The finals week of the tournament was held in the South Australian city of Adelaide, South Australia, Adelaide. The WA Diamonds won the gold medal for the sixth time by defeating the Queensland Scorchers, QLD Scorchers 3–1 in the final. Competition format The format included five-round matches over two weekends, and a finals week that consisted of two-round matches, three pool matches and finally classification matches. The Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) is an elite sports institute set up in 1983 by the Government of Western Australia to support athletes in Western Australia. Previously, if elite athletes from Western Australian needed to train or receive coaching at an international level they had to move to one of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) campuses which were generally based in the eastern states.
