Lisa Chesters
Lisa Marie Chesters (born 11 February 1980) is an Australian politician. She is a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2013, representing the Division of Bendigo. Prior to her election to parliament she worked as a union organiser for United Voice. Early life Chesters was born in Wentworthville, New South Wales. Her parents owned a small business, although her mother Jenny Chesters later completed a PhD as a mature-age student and became an academic. Chesters holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland. She was involved in student politics, serving as secretary of the University of Queensland Union in 2002 and as women's officer of the National Union of Students in 2003. She subsequently worked as an organiser for United Voice from 2003 to 2013. The Division of Bendigo is an Australian electoral division in the state of Victoria. The division was proclaimed in 1900, and was one of the original 65 divisions to be contested at the first federal election. It is named for the city of Bendigo. The division is situated on the northern foothills of the Great Dividing Range in North Central Victoria. It covers an area of approximately and provides the southern gateway to the Murray–Darling basin. Anthony Albanese
Anthony Norman Albanese ( or ; born 2 March 1963) is an Australian politician serving as the 31st and current prime minister of Australia since 2022. He has been leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) since 2019 and the member of parliament (MP) for Grayndler since 1996. Albanese previously served as the 15th deputy prime minister under the second Kevin Rudd government in 2013; he held various ministerial positions in the governments of Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard from 2007 to 2013. Albanese was born in Sydney to an Italian father and an Irish-Australian mother who raised him as a single parent. He attended St Mary's Cathedral College before going on to the University of Sydney to study economics.
