Lim Dong-seob
Lim Dong-seob (born August 29, 1990) is a South Korean basketball player former team Seoul Samsung Thunders and present Changwon LG Sakers and the South Korean national team. Early life Lim began playing basketball in elementary school but was a guard as he was one of the shortest members in the team. He went on to Hongik University High School. By then he had a growth spurt and converted into a forward, his current position. Career College Lim played college basketball for Chung-Ang University and was contemporaries with future national teammate Lee Dae-sung. Although Chung-Ang was largely overshadowed by the duopoly of Yonsei University and Korea University in collegiate competitions, he quickly gained the attention of KBL and national team scouts during his senior year, especially after scoring 36 points and 12 rebounds against powerhouses Yonsei. 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams. The tournament was hosted in China and was rescheduled from 2018 to 2019, becoming the first since 1967 FIBA World Championship, 1967 that did not occur in the same year as the FIFA World Cup (which was held the previous year). 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualification
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification was the first FIBA Basketball World Cup, World Cup for which teams had to qualify for under the new qualification system. The process determined 31 out of the 32 teams that participated at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Qualified teams Format The continental championships no longer belong to the qualification system for the World Cup. Instead, two rounds of continental qualifying tournaments were held over two years in a home-and-away format. The first round of the qualifiers were held in late 2017 and early 2018. Lebanon Men's National Basketball Team
The Lebanon men's national basketball team (; french: Équipe du Liban de basket-ball), controlled by the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB), has represented Lebanon in basketball since its inception in 1947. The squad is governed by FIBA, and is part of the FIBA Asia zone. Lebanon is considered one of the top teams in Asia, finishing runners-up in the FIBA Asia Cup four times (in 2001, 2005, 2007 and 2022). The team has also participated in the FIBA World Championship three times ( 2002, 2006 and 2010), failing to qualify past the preliminary round on all three occasions. In 2013, Lebanon was banned by FIBA in all sanctioned events after political interventions in Lebanese basketball. Conscription in South Korea has existed since 1957 and requires male citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to perform compulsory military service. Women are not required to perform military service, but they may voluntarily join the military. Establishment The basis for military conscription in South Korea is the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, which was promulgated on 17 July 1948. The constitution states in Article 39, "All citizens shall have the duty of national defense under the conditions as prescribed by Act."
