The administrative center of the municipality is the Lillesand (town), town of Lillesand. Blindleia
Blindleia is an long inland waterway in the municipality of Lillesand in Agder county, Norway. The strait starts in the ''Gamle Hellesund'' or ''Ulvøysund'' areas in southern HøvÃ¥g in the southwest (near Kristiansand) and it continues northeast past the town of Lillesand. It is a salt water fjord passage that is protected from the open sea by an elongated archipelago of skerries and larger islands. There are several narrow gaps as part of the waterway, some of them only wide. Kristiansand is a city and Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Agder county, Norway. The city is the fifth-largest and the municipality is the sixth-largest in Norway, with a population of around 116,000 as of January 2020, following the incorporation of the municipalities of Søgne and Songdalen into the greater Kristiansand municipality. Sand
Sand is a granular material composed of finely divided mineral particles. Sand has various compositions but is usually defined by its grain size. Eide, Aust-Agder
Eide is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. It is currently located within the municipality of Grimstad in Agder county. The municipality of Eide existed from 1838 until 1962. The municipality included of land on the mainland and the rest being nearly 70 small islands off the Skaggerak coast. The larger islands include Auseøya, Homborøya, and Ålesøya. The administrative centre was the village of Eide where the Eide Church is located. Vestre Moland
Vestre Moland is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Møglestu where the Vestre Moland Church is located. The municipality existed from 1838 until 1962 when it was merged into the municipality of Lillesand. Today, the area of Vestre Moland covers the northern part of the present-day municipality of Lillesand in Agder county. Vestre Moland included the island of Justøy and the area surrounding the ladested of Lillesand. Høvåg (historically: ''Høvaag'') is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1865 until its dissolution in 1962. It was located in the southern part of the present-day municipality of Lillesand which is now in Agder county. Formannskapsdistrikt
() was the name of a Norwegian self-governing municipality. The name was used from the establishment these municipalities in 1838 until the name fell out of use in 1863. The municipalities had their legal basis from two laws enacted on 14 January 1837. The laws established two types of ; one for cities () and one for rural districts (). These districts were mostly based on the former parishes. City municipalities had a monopoly on trade in both the municiality and for surrounding districts. Each district was to elect two councils that governed the municipality. The upper council was called and the lower council was called .
