''Like Wow'' is the debut EP of RudeGRL + CC, a collaborative project of Jenna Dickens (aka RudeGRL, from Basement Jaxx, Sub Focus) and Chris Constantinou (The Wolfmen, Sinéad O'Connor, Adam Ant, The Mutants (UK band), The Mutants, One Thousand Motels). Background Jenna Dickens has a hip hop music, hip hop background and writes the lyrics and sings. Chris Constantinou has a punk rock background and writes and plays all the instruments and co-produces (co-production together with Nicholas de Carlo who also mixed the EP). The runner-up to Miss Burlesque 2018 Bunni Morretto is a dancer and visual element in the collaboration. Reception The EP was noted for confronting subjects like racial abuse, homophobia, addiction, and sexual violence, but also for having a positive message of resilience and recovery. RudeGRL + CC is a collaborative hip hop and punk rock, punk project formed in 2020, consisting of Jenna Dickens (aka RudeGRL, from Basement Jaxx, Sub Focus) and Chris Constantinou (The Wolfmen, Sinéad O'Connor, Adam Ant, The Mutants (UK band), The Mutants, One Thousand Motels). History Chris Constantinou and Jenna Dickens had some earlier collaboration in writing tracks for Sony, then in 2020 they started the project RudeGRL + CC. Rap rock is a fusion genre that fuses vocal and instrumental elements of hip hop with various forms of rock. Chris Constantinou
Chris Constantinou is an English musician, best known as the bass guitarist and backing vocalist for Adam Ant. Childhood and early bands Constantinou was born at Charing Cross Hospital in London and at the age of three he moved to Plymouth. He went to Plymouth College before a brief spell at Plymouth Art College. He performed with school and garage bands supporting 1970s artists such as King Crimson, Snafu, and Sassafras. His professional career started when he joined Diz Watson, the renowned exponent of New Orleans blues/ Professor Longhair-style piano and barrel house blues, as bass player. In 1977, he formed the rock band The Drill. Basement Jaxx
Basement Jaxx are an English electronic music duo consisting of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. The pair got their name from the regular club night they held in Brixton, London, UK. They first rose to popularity in the underground house scene of the mid-1990s, but would go on to find international chart success and win Best Dance Act at both the 2002 and 2004 BRIT Awards. Nicolaas Douwma (born 13 April 1982), better known by his stage name Sub Focus, is an English DJ, record producer, songwriter, musician and sound engineer from Guildford, Surrey. He has been releasing records since 2003. On 12 October 2009, he released his self-titled debut album. He released his second album, ''Torus'', on 30 September 2013. The Wolfmen
The Wolfmen are an English rock music band formed in 2004, and centred on Marco Pirroni (guitars, co-writer) and Chris Constantinou (bass guitar, lead vocals, co-writer). Background Constantinou began as a bass guitar player with Diz Watson until the late 1970s when he formed Drill, who worked extensively with Chas Chandler and then Adam Ant, who he joined in 1982. By that stage, Pirroni, who has worked with Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Models and Rema-Rema - had joined Adam and the Ants to worldwide acclaim, co-writing two number one singles and a further four top tens with Ant for the band. Stuart Leslie Goddard, better known as Adam Ant (born 3 November 1954), is an English singer, musician, and actor. The Mutants is a punk rock supergroup based around Chris Constantinou (The Wolfmen, Sinead O’Connor, Adam Ant), Rat Scabies ( The Damned) and Paul Frazer ( Black Futures, Subsource), hosting an all-star cast of guest musicians. One Thousand Motels
One Thousand Motels is a collaboration duo of Rat Scabies ( The Damned) and Chris Constantinou (The Wolfmen, Sinead O’Connor, Adam Ant, The Mutants). History The bassist/multi-instrumentalist Chris Constantinou and drum legend Rat Scabies collaborated for some years as core members of The Mutants rock supergroup.
