Lifelines (A-ha Album)
''Lifelines'' is the seventh studio album by Norwegian band A-ha, released on 24 April 2002 by WEA Records. The album topped the charts in Norway and Germany, while reaching the top 10 in Austria, Denmark, Poland and Switzerland. In 2019, ''Lifelines'' and ''Minor Earth Major Sky'', both of A-ha's albums recorded for Warner Music Germany, were remastered and re-released with an extra disc, which contained demos, early versions and alternate mixes. They also received first official vinyl releases. Singles and videos The video for the single "Forever Not Yours" was shot in Havana, Cuba. It was directed by Harald Zwart (who also directed the "Velvet" video) and the storyline is based on the story of Noah's Ark and today's celebrities. Look-alikes of Desmond Tutu, Madonna (entertainer), Madonna, and Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II are included, among others. A-ha
A-ha (usually stylised as ''a-''h''a''; ) is a Norwegian synth-pop band formed in Oslo in 1982. Founded by Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (guitars and vocals), Magne Furuholmen (keyboards, guitars and vocals), and Morten Harket (lead vocals), the band rose to fame during the mid-1980s. "Minor Earth Major Sky" is a song by Norwegian band A-ha, released as the second single from their sixth studio album of the same name (2000). The single was serviced to European radio stations around 5 June 2000 and was released commercially in Norway and Germany on 10 July. Music video The music video for "Minor Earth Major Sky" was directed by Philipp Stölzl and filmed in an abandoned mine near Pilsen, Czech Republic. In the video, the three band members portray astronauts in a moon landing. Morten Harket goes off by himself, leaving the others waiting for him; when he returns, he finds they've already launched the lunar module without him. The theme of the video is based on reality; Paul and Magne often complained that Morten would be late to every meeting and concert and interview. Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (born Pål Gamst, 6 September 1961) is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. Waaktaar-Savoy is best known for his work as the main songwriter and guitarist in the Norwegian pop band A-ha, which has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. Morten Harket () (born September 14, 1959) is a Norwegian vocalist and songwriter, who is the lead singer of the synthpop/rock band A-ha. ''A Year Along the Abandoned Road'' ( no, Året gjennom Børfjord) is a Norwegian short film shot over a period of 105 days in 1988/1989 and released in 1991. Directed by Morten Skallerud, the film was shot in Super Panavision 70 ( 65 mm negative) and shows a whole year passing by in Børfjord in Hasvik, Norway, at 50,000 times the normal speed in just 12 minutes. The camera was moved slightly each day, and so the film gives the viewer the impression of seamlessly travelling around the fjord as the year goes along, each day compressed into a few seconds. The film which premiered at the Kortfilmfestivalen Grimstad in June 1991, has been screened at over 300 film festivals throughout the world and won 12 different awards, among which the Norwegian Amandaprisen for best short film in 1991, and the Grand Prix at the Tampere Film Festival in 1992. Desmond Tutu
Desmond Mpilo Tutu (7 October 193126 December 2021) was a South African Anglican bishop and theologian, known for his work as an anti-apartheid and human rights activist. He was Bishop of Johannesburg from 1985 to 1986 and then Archbishop of Cape Town from 1986 to 1996, in both cases being the first black African to hold the position.
