Liam Williams (born March 1988) is an English comedian, actor and writer, known for his wry poetic presentation style. He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Awards and for Best Show at the 2014 awards. Life and career Williams grew up in Leeds and read English at Homerton College, Cambridge, Homerton College at the University of Cambridge, where he was a member of Footlights. In 2009 he participated in the Cambridge heat of the Chortle Awards, Chortle Student Comedy Award. He supports Manchester United F.C., Manchester United. In 2010 Williams was the runner-up in the ''So You Think You're Funny'' competition at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Liam Williams (rugby Union)
Liam Brian Williams (born 9 April 1991) is a Welsh professional rugby union player who primarily plays fullback for Cardiff in the United Rugby Championship. He has also represented Wales at international level, having made his test debut against New Zealand during the 2012 Autumn Internationals. Williams has previously played for clubs such as Scarlets and Saracens in the past. Club career A school boy developed by the local Waunarlwydd RFC club, he was not picked up by any of the Welsh regional professional academies, and hence aged 16 started working as a trainee scaffolder at Port Talbot Steelworks, whilst continuing to play for Waunarlwydd. Aged 20 Williams was signed by Scarlets, being developed for his first year in 2010–11 at Llanelli RFC, making his debut against Carmarthen Quins in March 2010. Liam Williams born on 26 May 1992, is a Welsh professional boxer. He has competed at various weight divisions and has had notable achievements in his career. In 2017, he challenged for the WBO interim light-middleweight title, and in 2021, he vied for the WBO middleweight title. On a regional level, he held the British and Commonwealth light-middleweight titles from 2014 to 2016 and the British middleweight title from 2018 to October 2020. Early life Williams was born in Church Village and currently resides in Clydach Vale in the Rhondda Valleys. Prior to his professional boxing career, he worked as a roofer.
