Liam Ryan (Limerick Hurler)
Liam Ryan (1936 – 27 May 2015) was an Irish priest, sociologist and hurler who played as a left wing-forward at senior level for the Limerick county team. Ryan made his first appearance for the team during the 1955 championship and played intermittently for the team over the course of the next six seasons. During that time he won one Munster winners' medal. He was captain on that occasion and remains the youngest Munster final-winning captain. At club level, Ryan was a three-time county championship winners' medalist with his local Cappamore club. Playing career Club Ryan played his club hurling with the Cappamore club and enjoyed much success in a brief club championship career. He spent four years with the Cappamore minor hurling team, winning two East Limerick championship titles, however, the club narrowly missed out on a county minor title on both occasions. Liam Ryan (Wexford Hurler)
Liam Ryan (born 16 August 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays for Wexford Senior Championship club Rapparees and at inter-county level with Wexford senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-back. Playing career Rapparees Starlights Ryan joined the Rapparees Starlights club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels as a dual player. In due course, he joined the club's top adult teams in both codes, eventually coming to prominence after many years in the shadow of his brother Tom. On 28 October 2017, Ryan lined out at midfield when Starlights faced St. Martin's in the Wexford Football Championship final. He scored a point from play and "dominated" the game for the most part before collecting a winners' medal following the 0-17 to 1-08 victory. Liam Ryan (born 2 October 1996) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is a small forward who is known widely for his vertical leap and high-marking ability. Early life and junior football Ryan is from Geraldton, Western Australia. His father Darren "Snotty" Ryan played WAFL football for Claremont. Ryan began his football career with Rovers in the Great Northern Football League (GNFL). In 2016 he moved to Perth to play for the Subiaco Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Beginning in the reserves, he was moved up to the seniors after only four games, and subsequently kicked 40 goals from 16 senior games. In the 2017 WAFL season, Ryan won the Bernie Naylor Medal as the competition's leading goal-kicker. He kicked 73 goals from 23 games.
