Biography A former chairman of the Leinster Council, O'Neill initially sought the GAA presidency at the 2008 Congress, but Christy Cooney defeated him. Wasps RFC
Wasps Rugby Football Club is a professional rugby union team. They last played in Premiership Rugby, the top division of English rugby until being suspended on 12 October 2022. On 17 October 2022 the club entered administration, resulting in relegation to the RFU Championship, and all staff being made redundant. They exited administration on 16 December 2022. Founded in 1867 as Wasps FC, Wasps Football Club, from 1923 to 1996 they were based at Repton Avenue in Sudbury, London. From 1996 to 2002 the team played at Loftus Road in Shepherd's Bush and from 2002 to 2014 they played at Adams Park in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Liam O'Neill (Gaelic Footballer)
Liam O'Neill (born 1947) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played as a right wing-back at senior level for the Galway county team. O'Neill joined the team during the late 1960s and was a regular member of the starting fifteen for almost a decade. During that time he won six Connacht medals and one All-Star award. He is a member of a unique set of Galway players who lost three All-Ireland finals in four years O'Neill had a lengthy club career with St Grellan's. Liam Christian James O'Neil (born 31 July 1993) is an English footballer who plays as a defender and midfielder for club Cambridge United. Career West Bromwich Albion O'Neil is a product of the West Bromwich Albion youth academy, having joined from Non-League club Histon as a youth player. In May 2012, O'Neil signed his first professional contract with the club. O'Neil then debuted for West Brom in a crucial 2–1 victory over Swansea City on 15 March 2014, and then went on to make two further appearances from the bench against Stoke City and Norwich City respectively. He subsequently was rewarded for his progress with a new deal in May 2014, officially putting pen to paper on a one-year contract, plus a further year's option in the club's favour, on 1 July 2014. Cedric Smith (born 21 September 1943) is an English Canadian actor and musician. He played Alec King in the CBC television series '' Road to Avonlea'' and was the voice of Professor X in the ''X-Men'' TV series. Music Born in Bournemouth, Hampshire (now Dorset), England, Smith moved to Canada when he was about 10 years old. In 1961, he dropped out of high school to become a full-time folk singer. He was a member of the folk group Perth County Conspiracy, and wrote several songs that were performed and recorded by the band. Ca. 1963, he performed at the "Lemon Tree" a Dayton, Ohio coffee house for an extended time. Between sets he would read from a giant volume of Shakespeare. As a folk singer he sang at the "Ebony Knight" coffee house on Main Street in Hamilton in the mid '60s; he also had performances at the "Black Swan" coffee house in Stratford, Ontario in 1967 and 1968. Liam O'Neil (musician)
Liam O'Neil (born September 1980) is a Canadian musician who was the keyboardist and percussionist for Montreal-based band the Stills. He met the group's primary songwriter, Dave Hamelin, at school through a mutual friend. In 1996, the pair formed a ska band, in which O'Neil played saxophone. He later spent 18 months away from Montreal while he played in a jazz trio on a cruise ship, but he stayed in contact with the members of the Stills. After initially touring with the band, he became a full-time member when his bandmates heard him play a half-hour piano solo in a hotel bar. His first album with the band was ''Without Feathers''. A talented multi-instrumentalist, he played piano, organ, saxophone and tambourine on the record, as well as providing backing vocals on a number of tracks. O'Neil contributed synth, piano, organ, and baritone and tenor sax to various tracks on Kings of Leon's 2010 album ''Come Around Sundown''. Suuns
Suuns () is a Canadian rock band from Montreal. It was formed in mid-2007 when vocalist and guitarist Ben Shemie and guitarist and bassist Joe Yarmush got together to make some beats which quickly evolved into a few songs. The duo was soon joined by drummer Liam O'Neill and bassist and keyboardist Max Henry to complete the original line-up. The band signed to Secretly Canadian in 2010. Since 2010, Suuns saw the departure of Henry as an official member (he continues to record in the studio) to pursue a scholastic path, and in 2020 they officially signed with Joyful Noise Recordings with their 2020 output of '' Fiction EP'' followed by their LP '' The Witness''. ''The Folks on the Hill'' was a satirical sketch show, which started in January 2001 as a Saturday morning BBC Radio Ulster broadcast. In 2004, it evolved into an animated television show, first aired on 9 January 2004, on BBC One Northern Ireland. In its 10th year, the final, 17th series was broadcast on BBC Radio Ulster from Saturday 8 October until 12 November 2011, the day before writer and voice-over star Sean Crummey died. The show was a light-hearted, comic parody of the prominent figures of Northern Irish politics, and occasionally other politicians including Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Bertie Ahern and George W. Bush. The term 'folks on the hill' refers to the Northern Irish parliament and government at Stormont Hill.
