William Francis "Liam" O'Brien (born 5 September 1964) is an Irish former footballer who played for Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tranmere Rovers and Cork City. Liam 'Chunky' O'Brien (1949 – 23 August 2021) was a former Republic of Ireland, Irish sportsperson. He played senior hurling with the Kilkenny GAA, Kilkenny inter-county team in the 1970s. Early life Liam 'Chunky' O'Brien was born in Kilkenny in 1949. He was educated locally at St. John's De La Salle, a school associated with the O'Loughlin Gaels GAA, O'Loughlin Gaels hurling club. Liam O'Brien (born July 29, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward. He is currently playing with the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). O'Brien is mostly known as an enforcer. Playing career O'Brien was drafted in the first round, 10th overall, by the Rimouski Oceanic in QMJHL 2010 Draft. He scored his first QMJHL goal in his second game against the Lewiston Maineiacs. He played for the Oceanic until 2011 when he was traded to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies for draft picks. Liam O'Brien (March 7, 1913 – March 24, 1996) was an American screenwriter and television producer best known for writing the movie ''Here Comes the Groom''. Life and career O'Brien was educated at Fordham University, Fordham and Manhattan College. He had been a poet, a cartoonist and labor organizer before World War II, when he served in the Signal Corps (United States Army), Signal Corps. After the war, he headed to Hollywood, where his younger brother Edmond O'Brien was already an established star. Liam Ó Briain (16 September 1888 – 12 August 1974) was an Irish language expert and political activist. Born in North Wall, Dublin as William O'Brien, he took an interest in the Irish language from an early age and while still at the O'Connell School started using the Irish version of his name.
