Liam Fox (born 22 September 1961) is a British politician who served as Secretary of State for International Trade from 2016 to 2019 and Secretary of State for Defence from 2010 to 2011. A member of the Conservative Party, Fox has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Somerset, formerly Woodspring, since 1992. Fox studied medicine at the University of Glasgow and worked as a GP and civilian army medical GP before being elected as an MP. After holding several ministerial roles under John Major, Fox served as Constitutional Affairs Spokesman from 1998 to 1999, Shadow Health Secretary from 1999 to 2003, Chair of the Conservative Party from 2003 to 2005, Shadow Foreign Secretary in 2005 and Shadow Defence Secretary from 2005 to 2010. Liam Fox (footballer)
Liam Fox (born 2 February 1984) is a Scottish professional football coach and former player, who is currently the manager of Dundee United. Fox, who played as a midfielder, began his playing career with Heart of Midlothian, from where he was loaned to Crusaders in Northern Ireland. After a spell with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Fox played for Livingston between 2006 and 2013, making over 200 appearances. He then played for Raith Rovers before returning to Hearts as a coach. From 2016 to 2017, Fox was head coach of Scottish League Two club Cowdenbeath, before rejoining Hearts afterwards. Fox left Hearts in September 2020. Liam Fox is a British actor, known for portraying the role of Dan Spencer in the ITV soap opera '' Emmerdale'' from 2011 to 2023. Career Fox has appeared in ''Dinnerladies'' and ''Coronation Street''. He joined the cast of '' Emmerdale'' in late 2011 as Dan Spencer, the estranged husband of Ali Spencer ( Kelli Hollis).
