On 13 June 2011, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 528. On 17 October 2011, she peaked at world number 239 in the doubles rankings. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. Ayu Fani Damayanti (born 29 November 1988) is a former Indonesian tennis player. She made her debut as a professional in 2003, aged 14, at an ITF tournament in Jakarta. Her greatest success came in doubles competitions, especially with Septi Mende as partner. The pair won five doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit, and the silver medal in doubles at the Southeast Asian Games in 2005.
