Shanxi (; ; formerly romanised as Shansi) is a landlocked province of the People's Republic of China and is part of the North China region. The capital and largest city of the province is Taiyuan, while its next most populated prefecture-level cities are Changzhi and Datong. Li Ruishan () (November 22, 1920 – October 20, 1997) was a People's Republic of China politician. He was born in Yanchang County, Shaanxi Province.
