Li Qiang
Li Qiang (; born 23 July 1959) is a Chinese politician and a senior leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), serving as the second-ranking member of the 20th CCP Politburo Standing Committee, behind CCP general secretary Xi Jinping. From 2017 to 2022, he served as the party secretary of Shanghai and also a member of the 19th CCP Politburo. Since 2022, he has also been a member of the 20th CCP Politburo. Having joined the CCP in 1983, he first became secretary of the Communist Youth League of Rui'an, Zhejiang. Later serving in provincial department of civil affairs, he later became the party secretary of Yong Kang, Wenzhou, the Political Legal Affairs Secretary of Zhejiang and later the deputy party secretary of the province. He became the governor of Zhejiang in 2012, later the party secretary of Jiangsu province, and finally being transferred to the position of party secretary of Shanghai. Li Qiang (; 26 September 1905 – 29 September 1996) was a Chinese Communist revolutionary, military engineer, secret agent, radio scientist, diplomat, and politician. He served as Minister of Foreign Trade of China from November 1973 to September 1981 and was an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since 1955. Born into a prominent family in Changshu, as a student in Shanghai he joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) during the May Thirtieth Movement in 1925, and became a key technical specialist in the early history of the CCP. After Chiang Kai-shek's Kuomintang (KMT) massacred the Communists in 1927, Li was recruited by Zhou Enlai as the communications head of Teke, the CCP's intelligence agency, and created the CCP's first underground radio station. Li Qiang (; born November 1955) is a former Chinese politician from Jiangsu province. He served as Mayor of Yancheng and the Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary of the coastal city of Lianyungang, both located in Jiangsu province, before being investigated for suspected corruption in September 2014. Li Qiang is a paralympic athlete from China competing mainly in category T12 sprint events. Li was the star of the T12 sprint events in Sydney during the 2000 Summer Paralympics winning gold in both the 100m and 200m and silver in the 400 m. Li Qiang (, born 4 January 1989) is a Chinese male sprint canoeist who competed since the late 2000s. He won a silver medal in the C-1 500 m event at the 2010 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Poznań and the C-1 200 m at the 2015 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships. Li Qiang (; born 23 January 1998) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays as a left-footed midfielder for Yanbian Longding. Club career Li Qiang would be promoted to the senior team of Yanbian Funde and go on to make his debut in a Chinese FA Cup game against Shenyang Urban F.C. on 10 April 2018 that ended in a 1-1 draw, but was lost in a penalty shootout.
