Let It Burn (Datsik Album)
''Let It Burn'' is a studio album by Canadian dubstep producer and artist Troy Beetles, better known as Datsik. It was released digitally on September 24, 2013 in the United States through his own label Firepower Records. It is the sequel release to the '' Cold Blooded EP'', which was released on January 22, 2013. A remix EP for the track "Hold It Down" (featuring Georgia Murray) was released on April 15, 2014. Background and release ''Let It Burn'' is Datsik's second full-length studio album, the first being Vitamin D. The album features production from fellow Firepower Records artist Getter and Los Angeles-based electronic music producer Bais Haus, and includes collaborations with singer Georgia Murray in the track "Hold It Down" and rapper Zyme in the track "Oxygen". Datsik (musician)
Troy Beetles, (born June 8, 1988) better known by his stage name Datsik, is a former Canadian DJ and music producer. His first release was in the spring of 2009. He has since played at venues all over the world, including festivals such as Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, EDC Las Vegas, Stereosonic, Boonstock, Shambhala Music Festival, and Electric Zoo. In March 2015, Datsik partnered with Electronic Music lifestyle brand Electric Family to produce a bracelet for which 100% of the proceeds are donated to Lupus Foundation of America, which works to cure and improve the lives of all that are affected by Lupus. In March 2018, Beetles was accused of sexual assault spanning multiple years, resulting in public backlash and cancellation of all Datsik appearances at upcoming shows and festivals. AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. Top Heatseekers are "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Tanner Petulla, known professionally as Getter and Terror Reid, is an American DJ, producer, rapper and actor from San Jose, California. Petulla was signed to Datsik's label Firepower Records in 2012, while also releasing through other labels such as Rottun Recordings and OWSLA. Petulla has collaborated with some big-name artists such as Datsik, Skrillex, Borgore, and Suicideboys, and also had Liquid Stranger remix his song "Ill Shit". In 2017, Petulla launched his own record label, clothes shop, and artist collective known as Shred Collective. He also produces and performs hip-hop under the name Terror Reid, and is best known for his song "Uppercuts". Early life Petulla began producing music while in high school, uploading original songs as well as remixes of Far East Movement and Timbaland to his SoundCloud page. ''Vitamin D'' is the debut studio album by Canadian dubstep producer and artist Datsik, released on April 10, 2012. The album was co-produced by various electronic music producers such as fellow Canadian dubstep producer Downlink, Israeli psytrance and electronica production duo Infected Mushroom and American DJ Z-Trip. The first official single from the album is "Fully Blown" (featuring Snak the Ripper), which was released on January 31. The second single, "Evilution", which was co-produced by Infected Mushroom and features vocals from Jonathan Davis of the nu metal band Korn, was released on March 13. Georgia Murray
Georgia Murray is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose 2009 song titled "We'll Never Know" was plagiarized by composer Bahnus to create the song "Swing" (feat. LeeSang) for Korean pop star Lee Hyori. "Swing" became the number one song in Korea on 4 April 2010. Georgia was later compensated and given a writing credit from MNet Media, the Seoul-based entertainment company that had released the plagiarized song. Murray portrayed herself in an episode of the ABC show '' Boston Legal'' in its second season. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the early 2000s.
