{{No footnotes, date=March 2015 ''Let's Play Post Office'' is an American game show which aired on NBC from September 27, 1965 to July 1, 1966. Don Morrow was the host, with Bill Wendell and Wayne Howell as announcers. Paul Taubman, who had previously worked with Morrow on ''Camouflage'', provided music. The series aired at 12:30 PM Eastern and was the second game show by Merv Griffin Productions; the first was ''Jeopardy!'', which had premiered on NBC eighteen months earlier (and in fact had moved to 12:00 Noon on the day ''Post Office'' debuted, becoming the show's lead-in throughout its run). Don Morrow
Donald Gordon Morrow (January 29, 1927 – October 27, 2020) was an American announcer, television presenter, and voiceover artist.Stephen Heyman ''The New York Times'', April 10, 2009. Morrow was the announcer for the 1950s game show ''On Your Way''. In the 1960s, Morrow voiced the trailers for the first four movies made by Sergio Leone. He was the host of the ABC-TV game show ''Camouflage'', which aired from 1961 to 1963. From the 1950s through the 1980s, Morrow either appeared on camera as a commercial spokesperson or provided voiceovers for numerous brands, from Sinclair Oil to True cigarettes to Ford vehicles. Bill Wendell
William Joseph Wenzel Jr. (March 22, 1924 – April 14, 1999), known as Bill Wendell, was an NBC television staff announcer for almost his entire professional career. Life and career Born in New York City, Wendell served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and graduated from Fordham University with a degree in speech. He began his radio career in summer of 1947''Yonkers Herald Statesman'', July 18, 1959, pg. 6 at WHAM in Rochester, New York. He moved to WWJ in Detroit, where he worked in both radio and TV. Wayne Howell
Wayne Howell Chappelle (February 16, 1921 – July 8, 1993) was a voice-over announcer for the NBC television and radio networks from 1947 through 1986. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and became one member of a core group of New York-based announcers including Don Pardo, Bill Wendell, Jerry Damon, Arthur Gary, Vic Roby, Mel Brandt and Howard Reig who handled not only introducing and closing programs, but also teasers and promotions for the network's shows. Howell's radio announcing credits included ''The Martin and Lewis Show'', a 1950s version of ''The Chamber Music Society of Lower Basin Street'', ''The NBC Radio Theatre'', and ''Monitor''. Camouflage (game Show)
''Camouflage'' is an American television game show originally produced in 1961–62 and revived in 1980. 1961–62 The original game show was created and produced by Jerry Hammer of Jerry Hammer Productions, directed by Gilbert Cates with Don Morrow as host, and Johnny Gilbert as the announcer (as well as a substitute host for Morrow), with Chet Gould as the show's alternate announcer. Paul Taubman provided the show's live music. Contestants tried to find objects hidden on an electronic board by tracing the outline of the object using a wand. Each contestant had a separate board which his or her opponent could not see. The game began with Morrow telling the contestants what object to look for. He then asked them a true-false question; a countdown clock began at 10 and stopped when a contestant buzzed in (there was a penalty for buzzing in after the clock reached zero for the third time). Merv Griffin Enterprises was an American television production company founded by Merv Griffin, in business for 31 years from March 1963 to July 1994. Zero Mostel
Samuel Joel "Zero" Mostel (February 28, 1915 – September 8, 1977) was an American actor, comedian, and singer. He is best known for his portrayal of comic characters such as Tevye on stage in ''Fiddler on the Roof'', Pseudolus on stage and on screen in ''A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum'', and Max Bialystock in the original film version of Mel Brooks' '' The Producers'' (1967).
