Chester Withey
Chester "Chet" Withey (8 November 1887, Park City, Utah – 6 October 1939, California) was an American silent film actor, director, and screenwriter. He participated in the production in total of some 100 films. Born in Park City, Utah, the son of Chester Henry Withey and Mary E. Kelso, Withey started his career in silent film A silent film is a film with no synchronized recorded sound (or more generally, no audible dialogue). Though silent films convey narrative and emotion visually, various plot elements (such as a setting or era) or key lines of dialogue may, when ... as an actor in 1913. Louise Lee Si-kei (; born 26 September 1950, Tianjin) is a Hong Kong actress and former Chinese Canadian newscaster. Biography Louise was crowned in 1968 when she competed in the Hong Kong Princess beauty pageant. Li left Hong Kong in the mid to late 1980s and briefly was a news anchor at Toronto's Chinavision Canada station. She left Canada and returned to Hong Kong to resume her acting career with TVB. Florence Short (May 19, 1893 – July 10, 1946) was an American actress. She had numerous film roles as a supporting actress and was also cast in theatrical productions. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and moved with her family to New York City as a child, where she attended the Finch School for Girls. She made her professional stage debut in 1910 with the Avenue Stock Company of Wilmington, Delaware. She had early Braodway appearances in Thompson Buchanan's ''The Bridal Path'' and George V. Hobart's ''Experience'', and early film roles in ''Damaged Goods'' (1914) and '' The Law That Failed'' (1917). She died at her home in Hollywood and is buried in Los Angeles. Kenneth Daniel Harlan (July 26, 1895 – March 6, 1967) was an American actor of the silent film era, playing mostly romantic leads or adventurer types. Early life Harlan was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of George W. Harlan and actress Rita W. Harlan (born Sarah Wolff). He was a graduate of Saint Francis High School in Brooklyn, New York City, and Fordham University in the Bronx. Career At age seven, Harlan began acting on stage and working in vaudeville. He spent much of 1916 touring with a company of dancers that headlined future Ziegfeld performer Evan-Burrows Fontaine. His career spanned 25 years and included 200 features and serials, Harlan first entered the motion picture world in 1916 as the leading man under D.W. Griffith.
