''Les oiseaux du bonheur'' (meaning ''The Birds of Happiness'') is the second French-language compilation album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released in France in 1984. It is also her second album released in France. It includes mainly songs from ''Mélanie'', which was released in Quebec, Canada in 1984. Content ''Les oiseaux du bonheur'' is a compilation of songs from Dion's previous Canadian albums. It was promoted by the " Mon rêve de toujours" single. The album includes mainly songs from ''Mélanie'', plus three new tracks: "Paul et Virginie", "Les oiseaux du bonheur" and " Hymne à l'amitié". It also includes a new (third) recording of "La voix du bon Dieu". "Paul et Virginie" (renamed "Virginie... André Popp
André Charles Jean Popp (19 February 1924 – 10 May 2014) was a French composer, arranger and screenwriter. Biography Popp was born into a family of German-Dutch background, in Fontenay-le-Comte, Vendée. He started his career as a church organist, filling the place of the abbot who had been called up to serve in World War II in 1939. Popp studied music at the Saint Joseph Institute. In the 1950s he worked for the French radio station RTF, composing music for the ''Club d'Essai'' and, from 1953 to 1960, ''La Bride sur le cou''. He orchestrated a number of Juliette Gréco albums in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Sergio Bardotti (14 February 1939 – 11 April 2007) was an Italian lyricist, composer and record producer. Life and career Born in Pavia, Bardotti studied piano for seven years and graduated from conservatory with a degree in Theory and Solfeggio. After having performed in nightclubs with the stage name Sergio Dotti, he moved to Rome, employed by RCA for his literary branch. His first song as lyricist was "La nostra casa", which was released as B-side of the Gino Paoli's hit "Sapore di sale", launching his musical career. Shortly later Bardotti started a long collaboration with Sergio Endrigo, which among other things got them the winning of the 1968 Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Canzone per te". Dario Baldan Bembo (born 15 May 1948) is an Italian composer, singer-songwriter, music arranger and musician, best known for the songs "Aria" and " Amico è". Background Born in Milan, Baldan Bembo started his music career as a keyboardist for, among others, Lucio Battisti and Adriano Celentano. Pierre Papadiamandis (31 January 1937 – 22 March 2022) was a French songwriter and pianist. Life and career Born in Nogent-sur-Marne, Papadiamandis grew up in Nogent-sur-Marne, and started playing piano at 5 years old. Hubert Yves Adrian Giraud (3 March 1920 – 16 January 2016) was a French composer and lyricist. Career Giraud began his career playing the harmonica with Django Reinhardt's jazz group, the Quintette du Hot Club de France. In 1941, he was recruited by Ray Ventura to play the guitar during Ventura's big-band tour of South America. Six years later, he joined Jacques Hélian's orchestra in scoring a series of post-war romantic comedy films, including Georges Combert's 1951 feature, ''Musique en tête''. His song "Dors, mon amour", performed by André Claveau, won the Eurovision Song Contest 1958. Giraud (with lyricist Pierre Cour) wrote the song "Gitans" ( "Les Gitans").
