Leslie Anne Miller is a Pennsylvania attorney and philanthropist who served as General Counsel of Pennsylvania under Governor Ed Rendell. She was named to the PoliticsPA "Power 50" list of influential individuals in Pennsylvania politics in 2003. The ''Pennsylvania Report'' named her to the 2003 "The Pennsylvania Report Power 75" list of influential figures in Pennsylvania politics. She was also named to the PoliticsPA list of "Pennsylvania's Most Politically Powerful Women." She has also served on the boards of directors of multiple arts organizations and educational institutions, including the Pennsylvania Ballet and Philadelphia Museum of Art. Leslie O. Miller (born 24 March 1948) is a Bahamian athlete, businessman and politician. Early life Miller was born in Nassau, the third son of contractor Leroy Miller and his wife Sybil (née Lockhart). Athletics Miller left Nassau for Miami in 1965 to attend first Attucks High School and then Palmetto Senior High School, where he starred in track and field. He won gold at the 1966 Empire Games in the 440 yard dash, aged 18. In 1967, he represented his country at the Pan American Games in Canada. At the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, he competed in the men's 400 metres. Businessman and politician Miller studied marketing at the University of Texas at El Paso. Leslie Adrienne Miller (born 1956) is the author of five collections of poems. Professor of English at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, Miller holds a B.A. from Stephens College, an M.A. from the University of Missouri, and an M.F.A. from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and a Ph.D. from the University of Houston. Lesley J. Miller Jr. (born April 21, 1951) is an American Democratic politician who currently serves as a Hillsborough County Commissioner, representing the 3rd District since 2010. Prior to serving on the County Commission, Miller served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1992 to 2000, and in the Florida Senate from 2000 to 2006, and unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 2006. History Miller was born in Tampa in 1951, and briefly attended Bethune-Cookman College before dropping out to serve in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1974. He later attended the University of South Florida, where he served as the President of the Student Governmenet Association, as the student representative on the Florida Board of Regents, and as President of the Black Student Union. Miller began working for the Tampa Electric Company in 1977 before retiring with a disability in 1987.
