Les Gardiner (Scottish Footballer)
Leslie Lickley Gardiner (10 August 1918 – 6 February 1991) was a Scottish professional footballer who played 14 games in the Football League for Torquay United. Gardiner was born in Dundee in August 1918. Gardiner, an outside left, began his career with Hibernian. Leyton () is a town in east London, England, within the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Leyton Orient Football Club is a professional football club based in Leyton, East London, England, who compete in , the fourth tier of the English football league system. They are the second oldest football club in London to play at a professional level, and are known to their fans by their nickname "the O's". The club's home colours are all red. They have played home matches at Brisbane Road since 1937, having previously played at Millfields and Lea Bridge Road. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. It was the top-level football league in England from its foundation until 1992, when the top 22 clubs split from it to form the Premier League.
