The larva is 5.7-6.7 mm, at the older age there are distinct dark spots on the body. Hibernate eggs under the bark of perennial shoots. Larvae revive late April - first half of May. Carl Linnaeus (; 23 May 1707 – 10 January 1778), also known after his ennoblement in 1761 as Carl von Linné Blunt (2004), p. 171.
