The large-scaled gurnard (''Lepidotrigla cavillone'') is a species of marine, demersal ray-finned fish from the Family (biology), family Triglidae, the gurnards and sea robins. Bernard-Germain-Étienne de La Ville-sur-Illon, comte de Lacépède or La Cépède (; 26 December 17566 October 1825) was a French naturalist and an active freemason. David Starr Jordan (January 19, 1851 – September 19, 1931) was the founding president of Stanford University, serving from 1891 to 1913. He was an ichthyologist during his research career.
