Leono (born September 18, 1982 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) portraying a '' tecnico'' ("Good guy") wrestling character. His ring name is the Spanish translation of Lion-O from the ThunderCats cartoon. Professional wrestling career He began his wrestling career working under the ring name "Mustang Negro" ("Black Mustang") but only used the name briefly from his debut in 2003 until early 2004. CMLL Reyes Del Aire
The Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) has traditionally held an annual ''Reyes del Aire'' (Spanish for "Kings of the Air") tournament since 2005. There was no tournament in 2010 and both 2007 and 2012 saw two ''Reyes del Aire'' tournaments. The tournament includes a varying number of wrestlers, competing in a ''Torneo cibernetico'' match, essentially a multi-man elimination match with the last competitor remaining is declared that year's ''Rey del Aire'' and is given a trophy. The Mexican National Trios Championship (''Campeonato National Trios'' in Spanish) is a three-man tag team professional wrestling championship, sanctioned by the "Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre Mexico D.F." (''Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission''), which oversees all matches where the championship is defended. Since its creation in 1985 the championship has been promoted by several major Mexican wrestling promotions, Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL), Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and is currently promoted by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL, formerly EMLL). ''Los Guerreros Tuareg'' (Spanish for "The Tuareg Warriors") was a Mexican professional wrestling group, called a stable that worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) as a ''rudo'' (term used for wrestlers who portray the "Bad guys") faction. A ''torneo cibernetico'' is a multi-man professional wrestling elimination match that was created and primarily used in Mexican ''lucha libre'' professional wrestling promotions, especially in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
