Leonel Cota Montaño
Leonel Efraín Cota Montaño (born 23 April 1958, in Santiago) is a Mexican politician. He is a former governor of Baja California Sur and former president of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). He was the first non-PRI governor of Baja California Sur. Leonel Cota studied political science at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He began his political career as a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), which he represented in the Chamber of Deputies from 1994 to 1996 and as municipal president of La Paz La Paz (), officially known as Nuestra Señora de La Paz (Spanish pronunciation: ), is the seat of government of the Bolivia, Plurinational State of Bolivia. Narciso Agúndez Montaño
Narciso Agúndez Montaño (born 26 October 1958) is a Mexican former politician who served as governor of Baja California Sur from 2005 to 2011. Elected on February 6, 2005, he took office on April 5, 2005, and is the second member of Party of the Democratic Revolution to hold the office of governor in Baja California Sur, after his predecessor and cousin Leonel Cota Montaño. A graduate of the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur, he began his political career in 1984 as Director of the Promotion of Agriculture in Los Cabos, and in 1986 became the Director of Municipal Services there. Leonel Godoy Rangel (born June 5, 1950 in Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán) is a Mexican lawyer, politician, and former Governor of Michoacán. He is a former president of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). Political career Leonel Godoy began his political career in his native Michoacán serving in various positions during the governorship of Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas. Guillermo Mercado Romero (born 1 March 1938) is a Mexican politician who served as the Governor of Baja California Sur from 1993 to 1999. He is a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He also served in the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Corruption charges Mercado left office in 1999. In early 2001, Mercado and eighteen other former Mexican government officials were charged with diverting approximately $55 million in public funding.
