Lehtisaari, Helsinki
Lehtisaari (; sv, Lövö) is an island and part of Munkkiniemi, a neighborhood in western Helsinki, Finland. Lehtisaari's overall appearance is coastal and wooded. Lehtisaari contains a portion of the jogging route that is used by the Helsinki City Marathon. The island's residential zoning began in the 1950s. The island's residential area was mostly built in the 1960s. The street Kuusisaarentie runs through Lehtisaari from Munkkiniemi to the districts of Otaniemi and Keilaniemi in the neighbouring city of Espoo and to the Ring I beltway. The street includes a small bridge from Kuusisaari to Lehtisaari and a longer bridge from Lehtisaari to Otaniemi near Keilaniemi. Subdivisions Of Helsinki
The city of Helsinki, the capital of Finland, can be divided into various sorts of subdivisions. Ring I
Ring I (pronounced "ring one", fi, Kehä I, sv, Ring I) is the busiest road in Finland, carrying up to 113,000 vehicles per day. It is the innermost of the three beltways in the Greater Helsinki region, numbered as regional route 101 and runs from the easternmost part of Espoo to Itäkeskus in eastern Helsinki. Keilaniemi
Keilaniemi ( sv, Kägeludden) is a district in the south-eastern part of Espoo, Finland. Geography Keilaniemi is bordered by the university district of Otaniemi to the north, the commercial/residential district of Tapiola to the west, the Keilalahti bay separating Espoo and Helsinki to the east, and the Gulf of Finland to the south. The distance from Keilaniemi to the centre of Helsinki along the Länsiväylä highway is about 8 km. There are numerous islands and islets in Keilaniemi, including Fröknarna and Leppäluoto. Otaniemi
Otaniemi (Finnish), or Otnäs (Swedish), is a district of Espoo, Finland. It is located near the border of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Otaniemi is located on the southern shore of the Laajalahti bay, next to the district of Tapiola near the border to Helsinki. It is part of the Greater Tapiola major district. Otaniemi and Tapiola are separated by the Ring I beltway. The Aalto University metro station, located in Otaniemi, was taken into use in 2017. Helsinki City Marathon
The Garmin Helsinki City Marathon is an annual marathon held in Helsinki, Finland. It was established in 1981 and it used to be held in August but has now moved to May, on the day called ''Helsinki City Running Day''. The 2007 marathon drew more than 6,000 participants and 50,000 watchers. The course starts near the statue of Paavo Nurmi and finishes at the Olympic Stadium. Various parks, miles of Baltic Sea coastline, and the Helsinki City centre are all located along the route. The typical race temperatures have been between 18 and 22 °C and the race time limit is 6 hours. The first prize amounts to €3,500. The 2008 marathon was run on 16 August. Finland is divided into 19 regions ( fi, maakunta; sv, landskap)., smn, eennâmkodde, and sms, mäddkåʹdd.
