Lehi, Arizona
__NOTOC__ Lehi is a community within Mesa, Arizona. Lehi existed prior to the founding of Mesa, and was annexed by its much larger former neighbor in 1970. It is now the northern limit of central Mesa. Lehi is adjacent to the Salt River on the north, the Consolidated Canal to the south, and a portion of Arizona State Route 202 runs through the area. It also borders the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and has a long history with it. Properties of note include the Old Lehi School, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in August 2001, and is currently the home of the Mesa Historical Museum. History Lehi was settled in 1877 by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, under the direction of Daniel W. Jones. Lehi, Utah
Lehi ( ) is a city in Utah County, Utah, United States. It is named after Lehi, a prophet in the Book of Mormon. The population was 75,907 at the 2020 census, up from 47,407 in 2010. The rapid growth in Lehi is due, in part, to the rapid development of the tech industry region known as Silicon Slopes. The center of population of Utah is located in Lehi. Lehi is part of the Provo–Orem metropolitan area. Lehi station, also known as Thanksgiving Point station, is a FrontRunner commuter rail station in Lehi, Utah. It is operated by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and is part of the FrontRunner South extension. Description The station is located within the Thanksgiving Point business park at 3101 North Ashton Boulevard and is accessed from I-15 by way of the Timpanogos Highway ( SR-92/Club House Drive) interchange. To reach the station, head west from I-15 on Timpanogos Highway (which becomes Clubhouse Drive), then turn left (south) onto Ashton Boulevard. The station has a Park and Ride lot with over 735 free parking spaces available. Since the Union Pacific (UP) railroad tracks separate the passenger platform from the parking lot and bus stops, there is a pedestrian underpass that allows passengers to cross under the UP tracks. According to the Book of Mormon, Lehi ( ) was a prophet who lived in Jerusalem during the reign of king Zedekiah (approximately 600 BC). According to the Book of Mormon, Lehi was a son of Helaman and was a Nephite missionary. He and his elder brother Nephi lived in the 1st century BC and had many missionary experiences together.
